Wrongful termination settlement and SSDI

Hello,

I receive SSDI and am suing a former employer for wrongful termination due to discrimination. Will this lawsuit if it leads to a settlement impact my SSDI?

Hello,

I'm posing here for some clarification because every time I talk to someone at the assistance office I seem to get a different answer.

So, I'm on pregnancy Medicaid in the state of PA and it would be me and the unborn child as the household size.

How will a lump sum payment of unemployment affect this type of Medicaid as well as a settlement through an attorney?.

Basically my former employer fired me for being pregnant and I'm going after them for unemployment and suing for discrimination with an attorney.

So, I'm posting this to see what my chances of getting unemployment are.

Basically less than a week ago I found out I was pregnant and was put on lifting restrictions by my doctor.

After I turned the lifting restriction paper into my work telling them that the reason being was pregnancy they took me off the schedule.

2 days after taking me off the schedule I got a termination letter in my email.

I've already filed for unemployment and it's under review and the employer is trying to claim I was fired for poor performance, which is totally untrue, I've never been written up or called into the office. I don't think they have any ground to stand on .

I also have 4 open cases. 1 case says illness/injury, but the doctor's notice I posted said that I'm allowed to work, just with a lifting restriction. They refuse to close this case no matter how many times I call.

The other cases I don't even know why the other 2 are open. They are for employers that I left voluntarily because I found a new job.

Also, if unemployment does get approved, how long does it typically take?

Hello,

I'm posing this because I'm on SSDI and prior to pregnancy I was on the MAWD program through working part-time even though I was over the income limit I was able to keep my Medicaid.

When I found out I was pregnant my MAWD switched over to regular Medicaid. I was told that both me and the baby will have Medicaid for the first year after the baby is born.

I am already planning on putting the child on my fiances coverage after birth

What I want to know is though is that for my household for Medicaid eligibility after the first year would it be me and the baby, or just me. I live with my fiance. The state is PA.

Hello,

Has anyone dealt with pregnancy discrimination at work?

I turned in a Dr's note to my employer with lifting restrictions of 25 pounds due to pregnancy and they took me off the schedule, told me I'm not allowed to work and send me a termination notice a few days later.

I have filed with the EEOC and unemployment.

In the termination notice they cited that I had limited availability which hurt staffing needs which is totally untrue. I think they would get upset that I would not go in on my days off, but I'm under no obligation to do that.

Then, when I filed for unemployment, they told unemployment I had unsatisfactory work performance, when I've never been disciplined there.

Do I have a good chance of getting unemployment?
