the smells is killing me

i’ve had my sebderm under control for over a year. there are breakouts every time seasons change but i’ve managed to keep it under control. i have no flakes or itching. but i can’t do anything about the smell. my scalp starts smelling horrible just 2 days after i hairwash. its really affecting my social life making me self conscious when i get close to people. at this point i dont even care about fixing the source of the problem, im okay with just masking the smell somehow without flaring up. i’d prefer some natural remedy or something that’s readily available for cheap.

i’m was thinking of maybe applying some dry shampoo or clotrimazole powder on my scalp to slow down the fungal activity

if anyone has solved this specific problem, please share your experience.

my routine:

i apply ACV to break the biofilm followed by my shampoo. i cycle ketoconazole and ciclopirox twice a week. i condition my hair (with a malassezia safe product) and dab mct oil on damp scalp.

Need a reference for good code

Im learning gamedev through raylib and every tutorial I came across uses bare functions and the logic is all over the place.

I learn by coding some beginner game on my own and then compare it with other implementations to improve. Are there creators/youtube channels that write good OOP code that I could learn from?

One good source I found: Game Programming Patterns by Robert Nystrom

what happened to youtubers?

i know its pretty chicc to hate on youtube these days, but i cant help it. i realized that i no longer spend my time watching youtubers, but rather videos that the algorithm serves me. that is such a contrast to years ago when i just wanted to catch up with my favorite creators.

this is a part of the reason why i think streaming popped off. you see people like speed or kai goofing around and it instantly clicks. i dont even know any new gen youtubers that stand out as their own personalities (except for some small channels ofc). almost all the youtubers i know are from the previous era.

the top channels today feel so rehearsed to me. we the audience are like a cash cow. its also pretty outrageous that some of these big channels target kids to sell their shitty products too. its like everything is optimized for profit.

i miss youtubers feeling casual :(

will getting layers on wavy hair make them too short?

i havent had a haircut in over 8 months cuz the last time i had it, my barber cut it too short and gave me a buzz cut when I specifically told him that i dont wanna lose length.

well now im getting one and i’m confused what i should ask them to do. i eventually want a wolf cut but the hair on my back doesnt look like its long enough+my hair’s wavy so it curls up and looks even shorter when dry.

i know i show get layers and get some weights of my sides off. but im afraid it would take off a lot of length and i wont even be able to tie it back.

so what should i do:

  1. get layers and shorten the sides

  2. just an inch off uniformly to remove the split ends and keep the current horrendous hairstyle until they’re long enough.

any other suggestions are welcome

P.S. i don’t style my hair using products anymore cuz it takes way too much time and effort. i only do a conditioner and then either dry them while they’re tied back to make them straight or just leave them be for a messier look.

time signatures are weird

i’m having trouble understanding how 4/4 is any different from something like 4/2.

on a 60 bpm tempo, each measure has 4 beats in both cases and each beat should last 1 second (cuz 60 bpm is 1 bps).

in 4/4 the quarter note would last 1 second while in 4/2 the half note would last 1 second. but i see this as mere semantic difference since in both the cases, one measure would have 4 beats each lasting 1 second.

so if im composing a something in 4/4, i should be able to practically write it as 4/2 without having any effect in the actual rhythm.

I have successfully contained my SD of 8 years. It’s been a year since I started my treatment and haven’t seen any flaking at all.

I read about biofilm disruption on this subreddit and started using ACV for that.

Even tho I don’t have any flaking and very limited itching on my scalp, it smells abysmally rancid 2-3 days after washing my hair. I thought that my SD had returned but I see no flaking at all.

It can’t be cross contamination either. I change my pillowcase every wash and make my own products with malassezia safe ingredients.

How do I fix this?

my routine:

Soak scalp in 1:3 ACV for 10 min. Then I massage scalp with Ketoconazole/Ciclopirox-Zinc Pyrinthione shampoo and let it sit for 10 min. Then I condition my hair with a homemade BTMS 50 based conditioner.

I do this 2 times a week and rotate my shampoos every wash.
