Anyone looking for Air Max Sb club 58s?
I found a half price deal but need to buy two. Wondering if anyone wants to go in with me.
Sizes 8/8.5/9.5/13 left as of right now.
Lmk.

Sadair’s Spear won’t arrive until tomorrow but I really got my moneys worth with this steering wheel. Look at all the extra pieces thrown in lol
It’s definitely a cool little set.
Happy Building!
If I said this wasn’t a pain in the ass to build I’d be lying lol
But it’s done and looks pretty good imo.
Reobrix needs to get higher quality black pins and bricks in general. Building techniques definitely weren’t conservative like you’d see in a Lego set but satisfactory.
PSA don’t accidentally press on the front cup holders or else you’ll spend an hour trying to fish them out of the enclosed space under the centre console lol
Got into Lego builds about 6 weeks ago and built them all except for about 200 steps on the sian lol.
Which 1:8 set did everyone enjoy building the most?
For me it’s the Ferrari - building the back end was fun and it just looks really awesome lol. P1 was a fun build as well. Porsche was ok, Bugatti was annoying (building the w16 was fun though) and Lambo has been fine so far (except for me messing up the articulation of the door guide by playing around with it and having to remove and rebuild around one of the wheel arches to fix it lol).
No sleep and an empty wallet but I can’t stop staring at the cars lol
That sadairs spear is pricey but calling me 🤣
Avoided these for long enough due to the cost but couldn’t escape them forever. These surpass blue turbulences as my favorite 991v2.
Probably my 2nd favorite NB model behind 992 anatomy’s.
Managed to get my size at foot patrol and used a 10% discount code. That helped to offset how hard I got bent over on duties/taxes.
$519 cad / $371 usd all in cost including close to 30% in taxes/duties combined.
Happy Friday!
This was the most PITA build I’ve done for sure lol. The official Lego guide is pretty awful and there’s some suspect design decisions throughout the build. I swore maybe 200 times building the trim behind the front wheel arches.
Also when I was inspecting the final build I looked in horror when I noticed the drivers side black beam right in front of the dash was one peg too high. Luckily I was able to remove and replace it carefully.
In true AE fashion, they shorted me a trim piece so my trim right in front of the steering wheel is missing an end piece lmao.
Sian is up next but I need a break from building these things lol
Happy Friday all!
Just started building 2 months ago and now I’m hooked lol
Got a few more sets in the build pile and can’t wait to get started.
Sleep and pain free thumbs are optional lol
At this point I feel like these motherfuckers owe me a full refund plus money for pain and suffering.
Not even 70% through the build:
- ball joint was loose, had to pause build for a week and order
- gear knob was 90 degrees instead of 45. Had to pause build for another week and order
- what tf am I supposed to do with that roof trim part lmao. Another week pause in store.
Not even mentioning the fact that the paddle shifters don’t work due to the gear shift mechanism being all jammed up.
I’ve had decent success with AE builds so far but this has been horrific.
Turned out pretty decent.
Pros - no missing parts
Cons - brick quality wasn’t really good at all and the quality of the black pins was horrific.
Definitely not an enjoyable build due to having to mash the end of each black pin with pliers to get parts to fit together….but saved a ton of $ vs the retired Lego set and it looks 90% as good.
In hindsight I should have just paused the build and got all new black pins lol
Super fun build. Much more fun than I thought it would be. A really nice break from my streak of 1:8 technic behemoths. Pretty straightforward build except for a hilariously engineered suspension…gotta love that British ingenuity.
Surprisingly no missing/flawed pieces except for an 8l thin brick that was randomly missing half a peg lol
No spares at all in the individual bags but they threw in a full separate bag of small spares which was nice.
I think I paid about $70 cad for this. Not bad at all imo.
Now back to pushing technic pins lol
Should these ball joints be so loose that they constantly fall out? I’m having to build this so carefully to avoid hitting them out.
When they fall out I have to redo a few steps to get them back in. Maybe I just got a few bad pieces? I’ll probably have to pause this build. Shame because the quality of these pieces is really nice. Everything clicks in easily.
Thanks in advance.
Definitely took me awhile to build but I love it (minus the bent rear trim piece that I need to replace). Ordered all the rest of the 1:8s from AE. Now I just need to find wall space lol
I have another wall dedicated to f1 cars (genuine Lego) that look nice but waaaay worse value than these AE sets.
Next up is the McLaren P1 then the Bugatti, Porsche, Lambo Siam and I have the cada amg gt3 on ice. Gonna give my thumbs a rest first lol
Happy building.
Haven’t tried the displays so can’t comment on that but these blayzers are by far the best non display model meta and Rayban/oakley have put out to date.
This is my 11th pair, including wayfarer LEs and non LEs, headliners, HSTNs, etc.
Compared to all those models, these fit better, smooth temple material lets these basically glide on to your face, they feel lighter due to the better fit, slimmed down frame is much more visually appealing for daily wear, better battery life, new action button, slimmed down cameras, etc etc etc.
I also love this transparent olive color. I have too many clear transparent variants so went for these instead. I feel like the black transparent version is not transparent enough but these are the perfect balance.
I thought no model could beat the wayfarer copernis but these did it. I can comfortably wear these all day.
Well done meta and Rayban!
Just got a P1 from AE and pretty confused about bag numbering system and just unsure if I’m missing anything.
Anyone built a P1 with this bag numbering system and can provide advice on if it’s a full set and which bags to start with?
These make sense:
172-0-0 through 172-0-15 (16 bags total)
172-1-1 through 172-14-1 (14 bags total)
Confused about these:
172-2-2, 172-5-2 through 172-7-2, 172-11-2 through 172-14-2 (8 bags total)
172-11-3, 172-13-3, 172-14-3 (3 bags total)
172-14-4 (1 bag)
42 bags total and wheels/rims/frame pieces/placard/booklet
Does this seem like the full set? Any recommendations on how to number the bags so I can align them with the build order?
Thanks in advance.
Got this Daytona from AE. Messed up on step 114 by installing the large diff gear on the wrong side and didn’t realize until like 50 steps later.
Will this ultimately screw up my build or can I just leave as is? I’ll probably need new fingers trying to disassemble and rebuild the rear axle lol. My gearbox is fucked anyway due to the two small grey gears being way too tight and putting tension on the whole gearbox.
Thanks in advance.
