Did NRML ship anyone’s order from a few weeks ago?

Did NRML ship anyone’s order from a few weeks ago?

Outside of the people that got them in store and scalped them for double retail, did anyone else get these when NRML accidentally put them up early?

I guess now they’re raffling the remaining pairs.

Back to this fake scarcity bullshit. Pharrel and adidas can keep them all as far as I’m concerned. The white ones are good enough for me.

These are wild but I kinda love them

Super chunky is an understatement.

The quality is fantastic on these. I can understand why they’re at a higher price point.

Very comfortable as well.

I might love them lol

I don’t love them for anything over retail though.

I’ll be eating Kraft dinner for the next 5 years

But it’ll be worth it.

$1300 cad later……grail obtained. Less stock laces and box but I don’t really care about those tbh.

The shoes are super clean and imo the price was excellent for these.

BRB going to cry in the corner with $1300 less lol

Gap between pillar and and wheel arch

Can anyone see a noticeable error on this amg gt3 build. I looked over everything and can’t find an issue but my front wheel arches flare out due to a spacer placed to protect the front light fixtures. I just can’t figure out how there’s such little gap in all the pictures I’ve seen.

Feels like I’ve been working on this beast for 1000 days. Happy to be done soon gap or no gap lol

For all the new Omni owners

Make sure your phone/tablet wifi is on a dedicated 2.4 ghz network and use that to connect the Omni.

Absolute PITA to setup but working fairly well now.

Cada AMG GT3 stage 1 (gearbox / rear suspension)

274 build stages over the past two (late) nights. This one build stage felt like building a whole ass Lego 1:8 lol

This will definitely be the most challenging yet most rewarding build. Thankfully everything works….aside from the fact that I placed a black 2l axle and pin connector instead of a grey on like step 40 and realized at the end lol (it’s staying black!)

8 build stages left. This will definitely be a marathon build.

Happy building!

Cada trolling with an extra gear

Halfway through the first build stage. All gears placed except for one final grey gear. Then I notice I have a random blue gear left as well. Checked all my steps as well as the piece log and their should only be two of these blue gears.

Cada unnecessarily raising my blood pressure lol

Anyone else get extra gears with their amg gt3?

Another ‘yay I built the koenigsegg’ post

Built this during the evenings this week. Casual build pace so it took a lot longer than the 8-10 hour completion time I’ve been hearing about.

Phenomenal build. Absolutely zero frustrating steps which is almost a miracle for these 1:8 cars. Excellent build techniques, pieces were all high quality and the functions they packed into this car is just incredible.

Ghost mode works perfectly but just need to ensure you open the clam shell slowly.

IMO this is the best 1:8 Lego has come out with and it’s not even close.

Happy building all!

Koenigsegg GWP

Sadair’s Spear won’t arrive until tomorrow but I really got my moneys worth with this steering wheel. Look at all the extra pieces thrown in lol

It’s definitely a cool little set.

Happy Building!

Reobrix Maserati

If I said this wasn’t a pain in the ass to build I’d be lying lol

But it’s done and looks pretty good imo.

Reobrix needs to get higher quality black pins and bricks in general. Building techniques definitely weren’t conservative like you’d see in a Lego set but satisfactory.

PSA don’t accidentally press on the front cup holders or else you’ll spend an hour trying to fish them out of the enclosed space under the centre console lol

What’s your favorite 1:8 build?

Got into Lego builds about 6 weeks ago and built them all except for about 200 steps on the sian lol.

Which 1:8 set did everyone enjoy building the most?

For me it’s the Ferrari - building the back end was fun and it just looks really awesome lol. P1 was a fun build as well. Porsche was ok, Bugatti was annoying (building the w16 was fun though) and Lambo has been fine so far (except for me messing up the articulation of the door guide by playing around with it and having to remove and rebuild around one of the wheel arches to fix it lol).

No sleep and an empty wallet but I can’t stop staring at the cars lol

That sadairs spear is pricey but calling me 🤣

Had to be done

Avoided these for long enough due to the cost but couldn’t escape them forever. These surpass blue turbulences as my favorite 991v2.

Probably my 2nd favorite NB model behind 992 anatomy’s.

Managed to get my size at foot patrol and used a 10% discount code. That helped to offset how hard I got bent over on duties/taxes.

$519 cad / $371 usd all in cost including close to 30% in taxes/duties combined.

Happy Friday!

Chiron done. I need a break lol

This was the most PITA build I’ve done for sure lol. The official Lego guide is pretty awful and there’s some suspect design decisions throughout the build. I swore maybe 200 times building the trim behind the front wheel arches.

Also when I was inspecting the final build I looked in horror when I noticed the drivers side black beam right in front of the dash was one peg too high. Luckily I was able to remove and replace it carefully.

In true AE fashion, they shorted me a trim piece so my trim right in front of the steering wheel is missing an end piece lmao.

Sian is up next but I need a break from building these things lol

Happy Friday all!

I’m hooked lol

Just started building 2 months ago and now I’m hooked lol

Got a few more sets in the build pile and can’t wait to get started.

Sleep and pain free thumbs are optional lol

China’s trolling me

At this point I feel like these motherfuckers owe me a full refund plus money for pain and suffering.

Not even 70% through the build:

- ball joint was loose, had to pause build for a week and order
- gear knob was 90 degrees instead of 45. Had to pause build for another week and order
- what tf am I supposed to do with that roof trim part lmao. Another week pause in store.

Not even mentioning the fact that the paddle shifters don’t work due to the gear shift mechanism being all jammed up.

I’ve had decent success with AE builds so far but this has been horrific.

Sundial 95’s

These are half price right now at JD sports Canada. Hell of a deal.

I love the color combo and the 110 insoles are a really nice touch.

Sizes 9.5-10.5 left at JD.

AE GT3 RS

Turned out pretty decent.

Pros - no missing parts

Cons - brick quality wasn’t really good at all and the quality of the black pins was horrific.

Definitely not an enjoyable build due to having to mash the end of each black pin with pliers to get parts to fit together….but saved a ton of $ vs the retired Lego set and it looks 90% as good.

In hindsight I should have just paused the build and got all new black pins lol
