“Sync Library” option on iPhone 17 Pro … does what exactly?

I have been trouble shooting this for about 2 days now. My MacBook has all of my burned cds and downloaded music and my 1000 playlist and I can see and use them. My iPhone 17 pro only shows a fraction of that after working with Apple help.

For example I have 8 RHCP albums in my iTunes (music) on my Mac but only one album (sex magik) sync’d to my iPhone when we did a manual sync with a cable earlier today. Stadium arcadium is on my Mac and info shows it’s stored in the cloud.

It’s confusing. And I do have iTunes Match and it’s active and it’s the same account.

Just now I see that on my phone the sync library is not toggled on. Is that the source of the problem?

If I do toggle that on, does that mess up my MacBook library of music? Or does it force the music on my MacBook over to my iPhone, essentially fixing my issue

How to restore iTunes Match

I noticed I have missing music. Hardly any playlists. Just a ton of errors on my new iPhone 17 pro.

Then I realize my match expired on the 21st so like 13 days ago. I re-subscribed to it just now.

I don’t see my playlists and there are a ton of CDs I uploaded years ago that are missing.

Is there a timeline I need to wait for that music to come back?

What do I do?

Hot Tingling in Feet — Mold?

About 2 weeks ago I ripped up some old carpet and carpet padding before I began working on the 140 year old hardwoods. . I wore an n95 mask but didn’t wear goggles. Lots of dust and debris under the padding. The next day I had bloodshot eyes & post nasal drip which I attribute to the dust (mold?) entering through my eyes? The next day I began experiencing hot feeling and tingling in my feet. And pain in the joints of my hands and feet. Does this sound like symptoms of toxic mold exposure?

Built In’s for Toddler

Our little guy is graduating from his nursery to his big room and I’d like to build something like this for his closet. What’s the best way to begin? I’ve built more crude built ins for several garages and I have all of the saws and kregg tools but I haven’t built one this nice and I’d like to do it right.

The space in the closet that I have outlined has a 24” deep footprint that is 71” wide. TIA

Lead Paint Kit prior to renovations

I ripped out the 40 year old carpet and padding of our \~ 140 year old house. The hardwood planks are heart of pine (pretty sure) and my goal was to sand them down and then seal them. They are in need of some repairs. Anyway the carpet was dirty as hell as expected and padding was just nasty. All of that is gone. I’ve sucked up a lot of debris with my hepa sealed shop vac.

The total area I’m refinishing is only about 450 ft2 as the upstairs is small. One section of one of the rooms seems to have painted brown plank. It’s a 9x4 section roughly. The rest is unpainted old flooring that needs to be sanded and treated.

I decided to buy a test kit this am as I don’t want to sand anything and create a hazard for us (toddler).

I’m having trouble deciding if the swabs are positive. This is a kit from my local ace. Two drops of water and press for two min. I have another kit from Amazon (china?) that looks similar but requires vinegar drop if I recall correctly … but wanted to make sure I was testing with a legit kit. I can’t tell if this is showing a positive or if the paint chips are dark or looks positive or if the dust or dirt on the floor gives the swap a dark appearance

140 year old hardwoods

I pulled up the old carpet to evaluate how good / bad the floors are. I’ve seen worse & I’ve seen much better. But these are definitely rough. On bigger projects in the past I usually have the pros/subs handle the floors but this is about 550 sqft so I’m doing it myself.

It’s a late 1800s Victorian. I think it’s heart of pine floors. So far I’ve pulled the carpet. Removed all the padding. Vacuumed well as I go (hepa filter in case there is mold, etc)

Today I pried up the rest of the carpet tack strips and the staples.

Tomorrow I’m going to spot treat the nail punches and gouges with non shrinking putty.

I plan on running 40 / 80 / 100 grit with the big drum sander. I’ve got an orbital for the edges.

One thing I’ve noticed as I pry up the staples from the carpet is the wood is dry. Probably drier than any other project in the past. It’s definitely the oldest wood by 30+ years. Also I think most if not all of the other projects were oak.

I found some old heart of pine to replace the area where there is plywood — not sure what happened here but that section is being removed and pine planks will be installed

Any tips on if I should treat this wood any differently than other if at all?
