I’m thinking of getting an Amex gold card as my first Amex as I will soon be starting a graduate job in a few weeks with a very good salary. The thing is I’m seeing a really good offer right now of 30k points if you spend 3k within the first 3 months. Will Amex check my salary if I apply for the card right now instead of waiting and indicate my future salary or should I wait a few weeks before applying and risk losing the offer? For context I currently do not have any income as I am taking a break between university and work however I have a pretty good credit score from keeping a credit card and using it extensively for almost a year now. Appreciate any advice!

Hi guys, me and my girlfriend are travelling to Gili meno from Padang Bai in a few days and we’ve left it a bit late to book so the operators I’ve heard being recommended (blue water and eko jaya) are sold out. The options left are

1. Gili Gili fast boat at 10AM
2. Wijaya Perkasa at 11:30AM
3. Wijaya Tramena at 1:30PM

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which one of these 3 to take.

Hi everyone, I'll be going to Indonesia in August for 3 weeks, but on the way back, I have a 10-day stopover in Seoul. I'd love to see Seoul for at least 3 days, but then I was thinking, would it be worth doing a trip to Japan for at least 5 days, then flying back to Seoul for my flight out of Incheon? For context, I'm from the UK and this is a once in a lifetime sort of trip to this part of the world so I would love to see Japan. I was thinking of flying to Tokyo, taking the Shinkansen to Osaka then flying out from Osaka. Please let me know your thoughts and if this would be practical. 😄

Hi everyone, as the title says me and my girlfriend will be finishing a Mount Rinjani summit tour on the 24th of August and have got the 3D2N boat tour booked for the 29th of August. We'll have just come from Bali and 5 nights on the gili islands and are trying to decide when to fly from Lombok to Labuan Bajo and where to stay for those 5 nights. Initial thoughts are spending 2 nights in Kuta, Lombok to relax after the hike then spending 3 nights in Labuan Bajo but any suggestions would be amazing! :)
