Why is the Harry Potter discourse so hard?
I learned that an actor I kinda liked, Nicholas Hoult, was going to be playing Lockhart in the new HBO series and voiced aloud my disappointment. My mother responded by saying, “He’s gotta take a job.” And when I said, “He doesn’t have to take this one,” she went on about how I can’t force my beliefs on other people like that. So sorry. I didn’t realize not helping fund a narcissist’s trans genocide was an impossible standard to meet.
