According to the Nielsen ratings in the US, for the week of July 20th-26th, Masters Of The Universe was the #1 Program on Streaming across all platforms and accumulated 1.173 Billion minutes of watchtime.

MOTU released on July 22nd on Streaming so it only tracked 5 whole days of its streaming release and it STILL beat out every other program at the time in just the US alone. It debuted #1 in over 45 countries worldwide for Prime Video in that same timeframe as well.

And now we are less than one week away from seeing if it can become the first ever Prime Video film to hit #1 Worldwide on Prime for 5 straight weeks.

For 4 consecutive weeks, Masters Of The Universe has been the #1 Film on Prime Video Worldwide!

You read that right! For 4 consecutive weeks since its streaming release it has been the #1 film worldwide on Prime video!

For even more perspective, Project Hail Mary grossed almost $700 million worldwide at the BO and debuted on Prime Video back on July 3rd.

It held the #1 Film spot on Prime video for 3 consecutive weeks but got dethroned in its 4th week by none other than MOTU itself.

Meanwhile, MOTU, with much less theatrical success and publicity, was a BO bomb grossing $113 million on a $170 million budget.

Yet its first month of streaming success on Prime Video has been greater than the Streaming success of Project Hail Mary's first month on Prime Video.

This shows how Amazon's strategy of using theatrical as advertisement for streaming has been effective and how the BO does not tell the whole story for a film's future, at least by Amazon's standards.

This week is HUGE for MOTU because if it maintains the #1 spot for one more week, then it'll become the first Film in Prime Video's history to hold on to that spot for 5 straight weeks!

If that happens, it'll definitely give Amazon even more reason to support this franchise than there already is.

This movie is defying all odds stacked against it so what's one more accomplishment to add? It has the Power!
