Great Lion of God

Has anyone read this book by Taylor Caldwell? I read and reread it several times as a young adult and just found it online. Yay super excited to start again!!

Low fodmap snacks??

Snacks are so limited for people following low FODMAP⚡. Popcorn alone doesn’t have enough calories to sustain me. Can’t find plain rice cakes where I live or even lightly salted or salt free. If you have any suggestions, please, I would greatly appreciate it.

Classic

When was the last time YOU had apple splices with peanut butter? For me? It’s been years! I was in Heaven, eating my mid morning snack! Sorry, no pics !!

Finished The Hobbit (again)

***SPOILERS , if you haven’t read The Hobbit***
Just finished a reread of The Hobbit, and I need to share a possible unpopular opinion: Bilbo was extraordinarily brave, much braver than Frodo. He saved Thorin and Company more than three times, when all he was supposed to do was to be a burglar. Thoughts?

Call me crazy

Does anybody else enjoy reading The Silmarillion ? I’ve honestly read it so many times, but I am rereading it because I want to be up-to-date with the lore, before the new season of #RingsofPower comes out.

Tofu for the first time

I wanted to try tofu in my salad on the days that I don’t cook. I sprayed Pam and coated with cornstarch and a pinch of salt. Pan fried for 3 to 4 minutes, then topped my green salad with it.
The Jury is still out on the texture. I’m not crazy about tofu, but I’ve tried it before.

Salad dressing???

Help!! I have tried every salad dressing that is low FODMAP⚡ even making my own hummus, and I still get massive bloating and indigestion. Obviously, I can’t tolerate garlic, even garlic infused olive oil. Can’t use Greek yogurt can’t use hidden Valley ranch dressing. What else is there?

Oatmeal hack

Saw this on TikTok video, to add more volume to your oatmeal— added an extra cup of water and cooked it longer . Wow, game changer!! not only did my bowl appear fuller, but
The texture was really different. I think I really like it like this. I also added 2 tablespoons of coconut flour to my usual 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon of flaxseed.

Scariest

What’s the scariest movie you’ve ever seen? Doesn’t matter what genre, or what year it’s from. For me, it’s The Exorcist, starring Linda Blair and Ellen Burstyn. I’m watching it right now, and I probably won’t be able to sleep tonight! Last time I watched it was probably about 20 years ago. I’m also trying to read the original novel, as well.

Night Shift

Omg. I just started reading Night Shift.. I’ve already read Jerusalem’s lot a while back. It was included with the original Salem’s lot. Anyway, I read through the entire short story graveyard shift at one shot. I couldn’t stop reading. Masterpiece!!
