Help me find this scene/episode

Alright let me preface this by saying I haven't really watched this show. Have heard a lot about it but this one scene was so weird that I can't tell if I imagined it lmao

I recently saw a scene a few weeks ago (show was on tv when I was at the laundromat) where there was what I think was a rabbit doing something that seemed like it was going to be dramatic (think something like jumping off a cliff or saving someone from falling or something) and he clearly needed to focus. Then he stopped and had a black and white flashback of a rabbit kissing another rabbit in the shower, then that broke his focus and whatever he was doing went to shit.

I'm almost positive that if this was an actual scene, it was this show

How long did it take you to go from $100k to $300k?

28M (bday is December) and I'd like to be at $300k by the time I'm 30/turning 31 (so end of 2028).

Currently have about $145k, based on expected bonuses I have coming and other contributions, I'm hoping to be at $170k by EOY - assuming there isn't a huge market crash before then lol.

How realistic is my number? I generally contribute a decent amount to savings. I just took a pay cut for a new job due to it being a better long term investment in terms of comp - but regardless next year I should be in the $135k range all in (this is considering base, bonus, employer match, and pension).

With the employer match and pension, I am planning on contributing a total of at least $50k to retirement and other savings next year. Potentially more the following year if promoted, but let's be conservative and say $50k for both years.

Why are reggae shows so poorly promoted in the US? Especially NY/NJ?

NYC has a relatively large Jamaican population and reggae/dancehall is arguably bigger here than anywhere in the US. I feel like it's extremely common for popular reggae artists to just randomly do a festival or performance that has been booked for months with virtually no promotion by the artists. It's very strange to me.

For instance, I don't think a ton of people know Sister Nancy and Lila Ike are going to just casually be playing a free festival in NJ this weekend lol. The organizers of the festival obviously promoted it well - but the artists themselves really don't. A lot of the time they don't even put dates on their websites. Also, Yellowman is just randomly playing at a restaurant's summer stage next week in upstate NY. This restaurant just hosts jam band cover bands the rest of the summer (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Does this bother anyone else? Lol I feel like I miss out on so many great performances because of this

Need advice on job offer

I work in PA, mid sized firm almost 5 years. Base is $120k and with bonuses I'm in mid $140ks - eligible for small raise & bonus at EOY (just got large raise and bonus 2 wks ago). WLB sucks, in HCOL area. Work is interesting and don't mind the people I work with. 100% remote aside from client travel. It's a high stress job and the benefits are not great. Health ins below average, offers 401k, match is mediocre. 'Unlimited" PTO which I can't really take advantage of (I usually take one vacation a year which is around a week, then random days outside of busy season here and there).

Pros: pay, flexibility in terms of when I work during the day, and WFH

Cons: timesheets, WLB, hate all of the networking, some clients are awful, budgets and being mindful of hour minimums

New job offer is private role, very large publicly traded company. $107k base + target bonus that would put me in low $120ks. Benefits significantly better (health ins, offers pension, better 401k match) - pension take a few years to vest. Have a small sign on bonus offered ($6k). The work is not really something I'm interested in but there is a lot of room to move around the company and it's honestly expected from the employer. When considering holidays, company wide days off, and regular PTO - over 50 days. WLB seems better and 1/2 day Fridays during summer. Hybrid role (2 days WFH) about a 40 minute commute. Open to relocating to make that commute shorter. They have a gym onsite which is nice too.

Pros: Seems to be better WLB, better retirement and health ins, fringe benefits like gym and cafeteria

Cons: commute, huge pay cut, work isn't interesting at least for now

This is the first place I interviewed for and I got an offer, so of course there is a third option of me looking for other roles.

Need some help. Would it be crazy to take this huge of a pay cut? I'm leaning toward staying mainly for that reason especially with another increase coming at the EOY.

Thanks all in advance

Has anyone had this symptom?

Let me be clear that I have not been diagnosed yet. I'm 28 M, have had GI issues for almost 2 years now with worsening symptoms last 10 months. Have had colonoscopy, two endoscopies, CTE scan, and a few stool tests.

Only findings were a small polyp, an ulcer (which was treated with PPIs I was on for way too long, but it did heal it), lots of acid and some bile in stomach, hemmoroids and mildly high calprotectin. IBD has been effectively ruled out through colonoscopy and CTE scan. I am very grateful.

I have a lot of burning and stinging in stomach, mucus in stool, foul smelling gas, nausea, etc. I haven't had SIBO test yet, but the reason I'm suspecting it is due to being on PPIs for nearly 8 months (just stopped them a little under 2 weeks ago and switched to famotidine).

The one symptom that does concern me is lower right quadrant burning and pain that randomly comes in waves with nausea. Kind of moves around from being more in my abdomen sometimes then down to pelvic area. It feels so localized and has been on and off for a few months...but nothing showed up on the CTE. Is this something anyone else has gotten?

I have plenty of systemic symptoms too - general fatigue, brain fog, weakness, stinging, tingling, numbness - all has been ongoing for about 2 years as well. Also have lost a lot of weight which sucks.

Thanks, I know this is long. I apologize in advanced I am just at the end of my rope with these symptoms.

Need advice - supremely burnt out from PA

I'm a few months shy of 5 years in and am reaching my breaking point. The volume of work, dealing with needy clients, unrealistic budgets and timesheets has officially caught up with me. For both my physical and mental health I need to leave this job. I will need to stick it out a few more months to get my year end bonus and what not, but I'm pretty set on leaving.

I have genuinely no clue what I want to do after this. I'm at the point where if I don't find something, I might quit either way because I feel like I'll continue to stay if I put it off. I won't get too much into my living situation, but after June I'll be living rent free temporarily, so expenses will be low.

Has anyone quit with nothing lined up? Did you get a random job while you searched? Or just took a break until you found another role?

Anyone else change in bowel movements after colonoscopy?

I've had ongoing stomach issues which triggered a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, male in my late 20s. They found mild stomach inflammation and acid along with a small polyp they removed, but no signs of any other issues. I previously had an ulcer and have been on PPIs for months, but thankfully they said it healed.

Ever since then every time I use the bathroom it's like small pellets. I've heard this can be constipation, but I've also heard it can be caused by pelvic floor issues (which I have had in the past). Anyone else experience this? I'm wondering if the procedure triggered some kind of pelvic floor tightness or something. I am about 2 weeks post procedure. Just looking for ideas, I have a GI follow up next week.

Songs like Relax/Divide?

I came across this band about a year ago or so and became obsessed with this song. I've listened to the rest of Wake a few times and I really enjoyed it, but haven't gotten hooked on any of their other songs the same way. I know I'm a casual for getting pulled in by their most popular song lol. Have they released anything else like this? Or are there any other bands that have a song that reminds you of it?

EDIT: Appreciate the recs so far, adding them all to a playlist!

Yesterday I had my first colonoscopy (and simulatenous repeat upper endoscopy), male in late 20s. Have had numerous GI issues ongoing. Found no evidence of Crohn's or UC, no tumors. Found a small polyp which was removed. Also found internal hemmoroids. Upper endoscopy showed acid and mild stomach inflammation all over. Previously had an ulcer but that seems to have healed. Overall relieved to not have anything serious like the above, but also upset that I still don't have an answer.

After the scope I felt ok - ate something small about 4 hours after the procedure, and went to the bathroom. All bright red blood. I didn't have much in my system at that point so there was no stool mixed in. Felt light headed so went to the ER - they checked me out and said blood work was ok, and that it was likely blood from right after the procedure rather than an active bleed. They said with the size of the polyp removed it was very unlikely it was a concerning bleed. They gave me IVs and something to eat but I have not gone to the bathroom since the blood episode.

I kind of felt off and feverish all day yesterday. I honestly don't even remember if the ER took my temperature..I'm assuming they did? Anyways just took my temp now and it's 100.4...is this normal after a colonoscopy? I don't have pain, just feeling groggy. I also had a slightly elevated WBC (they didn't even mention this to me, saw it on my paperwork when I got home). I'm guessing there is a possibility this all could be post-procedure inflammation...but interested to hear if anyone has had anything similar.

Had my first colonoscopy today with a repeat upper endoscopy. All went well overall. For the first endoscopy I had months ago, my entire torso became red/flushed for a few days after the procedure but then just went away. The same thing is happening to me now. I don't have any itching or burning...my skin is just flushed.

Wondering if anyone else has had this? I'm assuming it's a side effect of the propofol but it is so strange because I don't see it mentioned much.

▲ 11 r/MCAS

Hello all I am new, I do not have a formal diagnosis and I only have a suspicion that I may have MCAS. I have been dealing with symptoms in waves for nearly 2 years now. I have seen a rheumatologist, multiple neurologists and gastroenterologists. My biggest concern is I've spent a lot of money on doctors, they have found certain abnormalities, but more so just evidence that something is wrong rather than figuring out what it is. I have had multiple doctors tell me what I have is anxiety or idiopathic, and only a few that have been great in taking action.

I know the next step is immunologist, but I really, really do not want to do a run around for a doctor that takes this seriously. I have spent so much time, effort, and money on dealing with doctors that plainly don't care (as I'm sure many of you have, at least starting out). Does anyone have any advice for finding doctors that specialize with MCAS, or at least take it seriously? I am in NJ if that helps.

Thank you so much in advanced, wishing everyone good health.

EDIT: All great responses. I'm coming to the conclusion that I need to educate myself on this disease before anything else.

I have not been diagnosed with Crohns, I have a colonoscopy on Monday to determine what's goin on - but I do have elevated calpro and that bad RLQ discomfort.

I am curious as to how many of you have needed surgery before? I have read that a fairly high percentage - I believe it was 80% - of people with Crohns will need surgery at least once. However, I know biologics are relatively new and have been a game changer, significantly reducing these rates.

Thanks all in advance
