Field Of Vision ‘25
I’m pondering splashing the dough for the Live At Field Of Vision ‘25 vinyl box set so I’ve been streaming the album all day long. I’m almost half way through, Empty is playing, and good god almighty. It’s just sheer unrelenting awesomeness. Song after song. Not one dip in quality and tightness, even the songs that aren’t exactly my faves. These guys don’t fucking miss do they? I’m in awe

Y’ALL
A pal got me into Gizz a few years ago. I spent a good long while navigating the extensive studio album offerings, finding the ones the I really liked (Nonagon, Petro Dragonic, FMB) finding others I could take or leave (Gumboot Soup, IYMF, Sketches). The hit rate of like/dislike was already high. Like probably 70%, which for a band as prolific as them is insanely good. The past few months though, I’ve been focusing more on the live albums and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. Adding the live albums to my rotation has elevated them even higher in my books. I’m gaining an appreciation for a lot of the songs from albums I’ve previously been skipping. Going back to those albums and getting into them. We’re at like a 90% hit rate now. WTF they went from being a really good band (in my books) to being on my personal Mt Rushmore of bands/artists. Just wanted to share. Enjoy FOV ✌️

Help Me Medicate My Cat
Hi all! My guy on the right, Bubbles, needs his nails clipped and WILL NOT take gabapentin. I managed to get some into him a few months ago with a churu treat, but he is now wise to my ways. I’ve tried with the churus, I’ve tried mixing it into his wet food, I’ve tried mixing it with tuna juice from a can. Nothing. He is not cuddly at all and will not let me pick him up, so manually putting the pill in his mouth is a no-go. I am at my wit’s end with this. Any help is tremendously appreciated. ✌️

Now What? [OFF TOPIC]
Just finished The Wisdom Of Crowds to complete the ten book series. What a ride that was! I’ve been so thoroughly immersed in this world JA has created and I loved it so so much. Plots that move along well. Incredibly well written, nuanced characters. Snappy dialogue. The battle scenes uh hello?!
So now what? Where do I go from here? Does life have anything for me? lol I kinda want to get right in to The Devils, but also might hold off for a couple(?) years and read the entirety of the series in one go.

Whoa
Still fairly early on in my jazz journey and I’m looking to get into more current day jazz (my wheelhouse so far seems to be 50s to early 60s hard bop). I consider Madlib’s Shades Of Blue to have been my introduction to jazz and saw someone here compare this record favourably. Man oh man were they right on the mark! As a long time hip hop fan, this is right up my alley. Phenomenal stuff
