Dog friendly beaches / areas around Westport?

Firstly, obligatory congrats on the football win, the football championship was great to watch this year. Unfortunately my beloved Tipp were shite, so i got to pay more attention to the football this year.

  • Secondly, where would be a nice quiet / calm beach to bring my dog?

He has never been yet, so ideally it would be a chill area for him so he doesn't get too overstimulated. He loves water, (black lab) but as it's his first time I feel somewhere quieter would be better. (if possible)

  • What would people recommend for walks? (dog friendly) Ye have a beautiful county so we would love to really see some of its best bits.

  • Finally, any little gems ye would recommend? such as food spots or anything like that?

I will be doing my own research of course, but sometimes its good to have locals advice too

Thanks lads

I am a 31 year old male, no kids, but engaged and have a dog named Lenny. I am living in a small rural town and have previously lived in Sydney, Australia..

I am currently on leave from work for the bank holiday weekend so i have time to spare and always wanted to do one off these!

So, ask me anything!
