Who'd have thought we would have a guaranteed player in the world cup quarter final?

Extra points for anyone who predicted it would be a rotational defender

Should we be looking at Sidny Lopes Cabral?

Been watching him this World Cup, very impressive in his first game against Spain got me watching and after that goal vs Argentina I’m convinced hed be a class signing. Only 23, he’s definitely promising. Although he just made a move to Trabzonspor, I wouldn’t mind a move for him and Oulaï.

Liverpool Supporters Needed – Master's Dissertation Survey (8-10 Minutes)

Hi everyone,

I'm currently completing my Master's dissertation at Newcastle University and I'm researching how football supporters perceive sponsorships and digital content in professional football.

I'm looking for Liverpool supporters to complete a short anonymous questionnaire exploring topics such as:

• What makes a football sponsor feel genuine (or forced)?
• Which sponsorship campaigns stand out?
• How digital content and player involvement influence supporter opinions.

It takes around 8-10 minutes, and you don't need any marketing knowledge - I'm simply interested in hearing supporters' honest opinions and experiences.

I'd really appreciate anyone who could spare a few minutes to help.

Anyone else following Yoane Wissa's incredible World Cup run with DR Congo?

It hasn't been the smoothest 12 months for Yoane Wissa since leaving Brentford, but he's shining on the biggest stage. His three goals have helped DR Congo reach the World Cup knockout rounds for just the second time in their history, and he'll now lead the line against England. It's been great to see a former Bee making such a big impact, both with his performances and his heartfelt words about representing his country.

Fixtures questions

Hello all

Was going through the fixtures for the season ahead and thinking about some dates to come up from Spain, both home and away.

Several of these fixtures seem to be penciled in as Saturday 4pm kickoff . Can I assume that’s just a placeholder and possible or even likely to change based on the full PL calendar, TV, etc?

Assuming there are changes likely, would they generally be same day, different time? Or date changes are entirely possible as well to say a Friday or Sunday or even Monday?

How far ahead of a match week do the match dates and times typically become finalised by PL? It’s a challenge to trip plan with the uncertainty of game dates and times.

Thanks in advance

Strange Coincidences

American fan here, started supporting the Bees when my son started playing in u12 and got stuck in goal. I was doing anything I could to learn the sport, and happened to see Raya, when we had him, and was impressed with his keeping. From there, Brentford became my club.

Fast forward to now - my son’s in high school and I’m talking with his coach for his individual lessons - she grew up in the UK. We were chatting about the World Cup and then the Premiere League. She’s a Chelsea supporter, and I told her I followed Brentford.

She looks at me with surprise and says, “I grew up right around the corner from the stadium.”

She follows Chelsea because Brentford wasn’t in the PL when she was growing up, but she said she’s been to more games than she can count, and one of her best friends is playing with the women’s team.

Small world, just another story of football bringing people together to go along with all of the heartwarming stuff coming out of the World Cup.

Come on you Bees!

"New" Fan Catching Up

Hey all! Super excited to try and follow this season more closely than I have in the past so I was wondering who are the big names (not purely skill based) on the team the y'all love and/or are excited for? When I first found the club, Toney and Wissa were still here and I see they're now gone as well as others so I feel like I'm starting back from square 1. Any good sources to catch up on the current status of the team? Any help is appreciated ☺️

How to go to a match? (American visiting the UK this fall)

Hello! I'll be in London this fall and am interested in going to a match with my dad. We've never been to a premiere league match before, but would love the experience of going to one (and since it would be my first match, it's a great way to really solidify a team to support for life). I've been looking online and am somewhat confused by the process of needing a membership and the ballot system for overseas fans and all of that. Could anyone actually give me a rundown of what the process and feasibility of actually getting tickets to a match are? If it helps, we're specifically looking at the match against Bournemouth on 12 September (y'all put the day before the month, right?)
