Worthing fans- how are the nerves ahead of our historic Step 5 debut?

Stepping into the National League for the first time in history is a massive moment for the Rebels. Looking at the budgets and EFL heritage of some of the clubs in this division is a bit daunting, but the full-time player model and record season ticket sales mean there's plenty of belief. It’s going to be an absolute battle, but we’re going in with eyes wide open.

Is it worth buying a refurbished macbook here over ebay?

I need a cheap laptop for university and the two year warranty is tempting me to buy a grade b macbook from my local shop. The prices seem slightly higher than what individual sellers want on ebay but the return policy feels safer. Has anyone bought a laptop from them recently and how was the battery health

If you could bring back one discontinued Greggs item forever, what would it be?

For me it has to be the ham and cheese pasty which vanished years ago and never truly got a proper replacement

A massive thank you to the lovely bus driver this morning

I am a tourist and got myself completely turned around trying to figure out the local bus routes today. The driver was incredibly patient explained exactly which stop I needed and made sure I didn't end up on the wrong side of town. The people here have been incredibly friendly and welcoming so far

How do people deal with flats that have broken buzzers or no numbers on the doors?

Serious question because it feels like every second delivery lately is a guessing game. You turn up to a block of flats, the main buzzer panel is either smashed or completely dead, and the customer isn't answering their phone. Then if you actually manage to get inside because someone else leaves the building, half the doors inside have absolutely no numbers on them

What is a realistic salary expectation for a graduate software engineer in London right now?

I’m finishing up my computer science degree this summer and starting to look at graduate software engineering roles around London. Most graduate schemes I’m seeing seem to be in the £35k to £45k range, but the competition for every opening looks absolutely brutal

Do the judges actually disagree as much as it looks on telly?

The editing always makes it seem like there's proper tension between amanda and the others sometimes. wondering how much of that is genuine and how much is just for the cameras

Best spot in the borough to catch a proper sunset?

I've got a hire car for my trip and I'm looking for a high point or a scenic spot to drive up to this evening to watch the sunset. Somewhere with a bit of an elevated view over the town or the flashes would be amazing. Any suggestions?

What's the best way to avoid the worst of rush hour on the northern line?

Thinking about going full time on this, is it actually viable?

Done it part time for eight months and the money is decent as a top up but I'm trying to work out if it holds up as a main income. Factoring in wear on the bike, the unpredictable quiet periods, and no sick pay. Anyone doing it full time and finding it sustainable or is it a grind that wears you down?

Does anyone know why the Waterloo and City line still does not run late on weekends?

Does anyone know why the Waterloo and City line still does not run late on weekends? Trying to get back towards south London after a night out in the City is an absolute nightmare, and it feels ridiculous that a direct tunnel is just sitting completely dormant. Is it a budget issue or is there just no demand?

Selling a console but the serial number sticker has partially peeled off

I am looking to trade in my old PS4 to my local shop this weekend to get some vouchers towards an upgrade. The console works perfectly but the barcode sticker on the back has partially peeled away over the years and you can only read the first few digits of the serial number. Will the staff reject it straight away at the counter because of this or can they pull the serial number up through the system dashboard when they plug it in for testing

Why do restaurants sometimes cancel orders after I've already accepted them?

Happens fairly regularly where I accept an order, head to the restaurant, and they cancel it because they're too busy or it's wrong or something. Do you get compensated for your travel time or do you just eat the loss?

What is the most unique thing a visitor can do here over a weekend?

I want to do something uniquely local rather than just sitting in their front room or going to a retail park. Is there a match on at the stadium, or should I look into booking a slot at the Three Sisters racing circuit or the roller rink to get a proper taste of what people do for fun here

Which League Two away end have you been in that had absolutely no right to be as loud as it was given everything going on around it?

The cold ground, the away terrace that holds four hundred people, the club sitting fifteenth in the fourth tier — and somehow the away following is singing from the first minute to the last regardless of the scoreline. There are fanbases at this level that would embarrass clubs three or four divisions above them and they never get talked about the way they should.

Cyclists on Just Eat what's your setup

Been doing Just Eat on my bike for a bit now and I'm always tinkering with my bag situation trying to get it right. What's everyone else using? I've got a decent insulated rucksack but I'm wondering if there's better options out there

Tips for dealing with customers who claim their food never arrived

I had a notification yesterday saying an order was reported missing, even though I handed it directly to the person at their flat door. It is incredibly stressful because you know the system is heavily weighted against the driver. Should I start taking photos of every single drop off or is a body cam the only way to protect your account from scammers?
