Nihilism is a truth, discovered by humanity.

Well, basically nihilism is described as "the rejection of all religious and moral principles, in the belief that life is meaningless."

Which is something that humans actually discovered in the 18th and 19th century.. but my question is why? Why that time?

Historically, humans have a desire to have something to care for, something to truly die for.. they always talk about freedom.. but also want something or someone to not feel alone, something to devote themselves to.. something to understand them. Mostly, Throughout history, this "thing to die for" was family, a brother, sister, a lover, mother, a father, etc.. if not family, it was a nation, a creed, or any matter that caused loyalty, and this is what i call "stakes" of your life.

These stakes were valuable for them, they fought many battles, traveled through many lands for them.. from Greece to Persia, Scandinavia to Celtic England only to protect these stakes.. or even in more recent times.. even in 14th or 15th century or WW1 and WW2.. the globe was in war and that made these stakes valuable, they were in danger, and humans needed to act quick, to see that peace again..

But as humanity drowned itself in peace.. these stakes were no more threatened.. the peace was not purposeful or enjoyable.. and most importantly.. it wasn't earned.. or as Nietzsche says in Thus Spoke Zoroaster: "You should love peace as a means to a new war, And the short peace more than the long."

so as we humans kept going on.. these values lost their meanings.. many families never met each other ever again.. many lovers separated from each other.. many lost their devotion to the creed.. there was no danger, no war.. nothing to say this "god" anymore.. and.. humans started to face the truth, Nihilism.

In the 18th century when the world was slowly settling into peace.. it started.. very slowly.. and now.. in 2026.. many many people.. faced that truth.. and now cannot unsee it. Peace turned into decay, Warriors got depressed and phones replaced swords and bows. Intensity is replaced with fake adrenaline like gaming and sports. I don't mean sports are bad, in fact, they're necessary for your health.. i mean, something isn't really dangerous or intense when you always have the option to quit. or and i have to clarify, by intense environment or situation i mean..a situation where you must act, if you don't they have irreversible and strikingly painful consequences.. like a war where everyone and everything is against you. I believe these situations happen way less in the modern world.

What i am saying is that, humans need a completely free environment, with high stakes to care for and intensity and i don't mean something made up or fun like sports (as i explained earlier), i mean a true and authentic experience that brings meaning with itself. I am not saying that we need a whole apocalypse to save the mental health of humanity.. but this path we are going to.. is just going to make this worse. To be honest, this exists in everyone, no difference if you're a child, an old guy.. male, female.. anyone.. this is the nature of humanity. This is the only thing that humanity craves.. To really have something to love and to fight for, not because of the adrenaline in fight and intensity.. but because of the loyalty and meaningfulness***. Humans want a meaningful life***.

So.. I finished Requiem..

Before anything, i have to say that i am a very very big "hellblade" fan (now a very very big "a plague tale" fan too).. and i always wanted a good story rather than just a good "game".. and literally all of my friends were begging me to play A Plague Tale games.. and i finally did.. and i have to admit.. it's just better than anything i have played.. and by anything, i literally mean every game cause i have almost played most of the famous games you know..

I usually rate games personally.. based on a few different aspects.. and really wanted to do it with "A Plague Tale: Requiem"

Story: 10/10

The most important element of a game, book, movie or any kind of thing that you're going to invest your time in is of course the story.. so let's begin with the structure. The three act structure was absolutely observed.. all of the main characters completed their arcs and served their purpose.. the ending climax was perhaps the most intense one i have ever seen on a screen.. the midpoint, the character development.. they were all just in place.. in the best time.. i have never rated a game's story this high.. ten out of ten, doesn't mean it's the best story for anyone, it just means that's literally all i, personally can ask from a story.. it had the greatest life lesson behind it.. and the best world building..

Gameplay: 9.5/10

As i said above, i really don't care about gameplay and I personally believe that gameplay should always serve the purpose of delivering the story to the player, and for me, the gameplay matters only as long as it does that.. this is why i rated it that high, while many would go like seven and a half or eight. The gameplay was so fresh, and literally brought the game spirit to life, for me, that i could literally live that game.

Visuals: 8.5/10

To be honest, i believe the visuals and graphics could be a lot better. I experienced the game with a i7 gen 14 cpu and a 4090 graphics card on the maximum graphics with 140-130 fps. Don't get me wrong, the visuals were astonishing and beautiful, but they just weren't at Hellblade II or Alan Wake 2 level, which is a ten out of ten for me.

Music: 10/10

Just like the gameplay, the music should also deliver you the story and make you live in that world.. and oh boy.. the music is just on another level.. i could literally feel everything.. every emotional scene had that eerie and godly music on it.. this is all i can ask literally..

The overall rating for me: 9.7/10

This game became the best game on my list.. and it literally took away the throne from Hellblade II.. i really don't even think that any game can ever get any higher rating from me.. by the way, here are my top five, please have a look..

1.A Plague Tale: Requiem 9.7/10

2.Hellblade II: Senua's Saga.. 9.6/10

3.Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.. 9.5/10

4.The Last of Us Part II.. 9.4/10

5.Red Dead Redemption II.. 9.3/10

Feel free to ask me anything, i really wanna talk rn ngl..

Many are mistyped as ISTPs

I was wandering in this subreddit and i found out a great deal of people are mistyped as ISTPs, so if you have used the four letter system, just throw out that report, those tests are BS and don't indicate anything, they're not backed up by facts and real human behavioral system. i wanted to just clear things up here a bit, before starting i have to point out that cognitive functions are the same in a person, and cannot change, these depend on how you process incoming data from inside and/or outside.

Firstly, let me explain about ISTP itself

ISTP: Ti-Se-Ni-Fe

ISTPs or Ti-Se users are a type who use Ti as their dominant function, which means their first approach towards incoming data is to logically analyze them based on facts that make sense to them personally, simply if something doesn't fit into their reasoning chain, they won't accept it. They use Se as their auxiliary function, which means they're constantly gathering data from the environment to feed it to Ti for logical use. Ti-Se creates the famous "I don't care" approach which almost all of them have, because they simply don't want to waste their energy on things they don't find concerning for themselves. They use Ni as their tertiary function, which means if they kind of fail or need help in their logical system they will try searching for underlying meanings or patterns in the environment using Se. They use Fe as their inferior function, which means ISTPs find social connection meaningless and unnecessary, they're calm in dramatic situations and even if they try to talk to others they will mess up badly, because they lack the social skills and really don't know how to work with norms. Under stress they will kind of lose their Se function and won't gather any kind of new data, they will keep analyzing old rusty data they got logically, fail and then start searching for patterns in it and will fail again and will go through the logical analyzing again and this cycle goes on for ever, untill they're suffering from chronic stress, we call this the Ti-Ni loop. Under chronic stress, they will also feel awkwardly needy towards society and will try to talk to people but also fail miserably, which is called the Fe grip.

Ok, that's ISTP, now let's go through the mistypes..

The most important thing i want to point out is the Ti dominance. While doing something involving others (like posting this), all of ISTPs with no exceptions will always feel like they're wasting their time or doing something cringe and unnecessary (which is also because the Te in their fifth function stack). Another thing, is that generally Se users are very very chill, a very big misconception is that Se users are intense and competitive which is a very big thing in mistyping, so if you see you are caring too much about things happening around you, you are definitely a Te user, not an Se user. I also see this with people who are mistyped as Se dominants, ESxPs are super chill and easygoing, not super competitive or necessarily dominant, Dominance and control is a Te user's concern.

So if i want to wrap this up, I'm gonna go like this..

If you see you seem to be strict and kind of "angry" about your surroundings, you're an ISTJ

If you're spending way too much time in your weird and imaginary world, (not overthinking, overthinking is a Ti thing which is very common for ISTPs) you're an INTP

If you're using symbols and have strong urges to do something right now you're definitely an ISFP

If you just go with the flow then after a few days go like "Damnit, should have done that!!" You're an ESxP
