Hands around a throat during intimacy needs to stop. See disclaimer below.

I have never been a fan of having a guy choke me during intimacy, and im seeing a lot more posts about it on Instagram - mainly through booktok.

I get women are exploring kinkier sides through book tok and choking is one of them. But not everyone is a fan.

Disclaimer - domestic abuse -

I went into work today to find out that a coworker went to the emergency room under her own power after her ex boyfriend strangled her last night during an argument. Hes in jail now and she has an emergency order of protection against him.

Seeing things on choking and hands around a woman's throat now make me sick to my stomach after it happened to a close coworker.

**Edit - yes there are people who enjoy it, and as long as its done with consent, thats fine.

But I dont like it and now that a coworker has been strangled by her ex, who's in jail, choking is very off limits and a trigger for me.

Hey Arnold is Stewie's story after he's taken from the Griffin's and placed witness protection.

Here me out on this -

The show Hey Arnold went from 1996 to 2004, and the main character, Arnold, has a football shaped head. Arnold is also in 4th grade in Washington State.

Granted, in Family Guy, Stewie Griffin is a baby, but his head is the same shape as Arnold's. Stewie has tried going back in time and going to different dimensions, and I think hes also had access to weapons. (I dont watch much family guy but my roommate does, and ive seen many episodes repeated.)

Anyway, my theory is that at some point, Stewie did something to the Griffins or got caught and was placed with an older couple in Washington State, and given a new name. He also had all his memories of the Griffins erased, so he doesnt remember them as he grows older.

The "let them theory" was created for helicopter parents

I just started the "let them theory" book by Mel Robbins. Ill admit im not out of chapter one yet, but in the chapter she describes her son's prom and the 2 days of chaos before and the chaos the day of where she tries to scramble to get everything planned.

The author says that when her son and his friends were trying to decide on dinner with no reservations, she tried to get a place for 20 high school seniors before her daughter stepped in.

To me, the author trying to plan and organize every little detail about the prom is like a helicopter parent trying to control every aspect of their child's life.

Why can't parents just let kids be kids and do what they did as kids instead of micromanaging everything?
