Themes and Connections

God Complex, both of these two reality warpers have the biggest God Complexes, Both of them rewriting reality to make it suit their view of a perfection, discarding the idea of "Our flaws are who we are", Divinity making a "Perfected Multiverse" where the Chronians have complete control over every mortal in the Omniverse, and Maruki making a world where everyone is brainwashed into a state of false happiness.

Fight/Banter/Story Potential

Fight:With how good 5YL episode 13 and 14 were, I need them to the same all animation styles thing they did for Bakugo vs Reze and Ichigo vs Yusuke. With the art style shifts being a side effect of their fighting.

Banter:The banter would be a massive philosophy debate on whether whose the noble of the two, with Maruki being what Divinity used to be, Ben says it himself, "If you wanted to help your people, you could do it without a stage. It's not enough for you to be the hero. What you really want is to be seen doing it", Maruki is the opposite of this, he didn't want Joker and Aketchi to figure him out, so he stayed hidden and just did his plan overnight, opposed to Divinity who admits he enjoys being on a metaphorical stage

Story:Divinity arrives after the bad ending of the 3rd semester of Persona 5, which would give him a free excuse to have his first outfit, and for Maruki to not have Adam Kadmon at the start of the fight, and as the fight progresses, the both of them start fighting from universe to universe, from the Metaverse to the Temporal Zone to the Nexus of Infinity.

Other

DEBATE:I'm currently leaning towards Divinity for this matchup, but Maruki does have his own win-cons, I just think that Divinity's greater intelligence would make it so that he would stop Maruki before he can destroy the Temporal Zone or absorb the Nexus of Infinity.

ANALYSIS POTENTIAL:Amazing, it would be interesting to see how Death Battle would tackle how both of them handled their defeats, with them comparing how Maruki deciding to turn over a new leaf, with Divinity now being stuck in an eternal battle with Vlad because of his hubris

MUSIC POTENTIAL:I need Brandon and Therewolf to collab on this one, with how good Emerald Heroes, Requiem for a Thief, Soul Insider and Metal as Cell were, I need both of them to cook with the finest ingredients.

Overall

I think it's the best matchup for both, and it would be pretty funny for Death Battle to do an episode with one of Kuro's characters.
