I'm driving a U-Haul van from Washington, DC to Cambridge, MA over two days and would appreciate advice from people familiar with the route on how to minimize the trip length and avoid heavy traffic.

My current plan:
- Leaving DC around 10:30–11:00 AM
- Prefer Day 1 to be the longer driving day
- Plan to leave the overnight stop around 7/8 AM

I'm currently considering stopping in Danbury, CT as the overnight stop, near I-84 Exit 8. Does this make sense? Or would you recommend stopping farther east (e.g. Hartford or Sturbridge) or farther west?
