Disposing of used Lead-Acid batteries from children toys

Hi, I'm just curious on how best to dispose of these sealed Lead-Acid batteries . I've already accumulated a few, mostly from children's toys.

Thanks.

On downsizing engine and JPJ registration

I have a Japanese car with a 2.5L engine (CKD, if that matters). The car has travelled over 400,000 km and the engine is now consuming quite a lot of engine oil.

I am considering replacing the engine and transmission with a halfcut sourced from Japan. The engine in the halfcut is for the same model & year, but it is a 2.0L turbo. It is also a bit more powerful.

I've read through JPJ's requirements on engine change and they evidently have a 30% limit on CC increase, but what if you're downsizing? Are there restrictions? Also, would my roadtax amount reduce?

US-built vehicles may not be to Japanese standards, admits Toyota, Nissan

...and this is from factories that these brands actually own and run in the USA. I wonder how our CKD cars stack up from our JV-type assembly lines.
