Refusal to Refund Missing Items

Gopuff (or its drivers) continually leave items out of my orders. This has happened twice over the course of one week.

I ordered something, an item was missing, I reached out to customer service. They would only offer a GoPuff credit, rather than a refund.

So in order to use that credit, I have to buy from GoPuff again. So today I did. The item was missing AGAIN.

Now they refuse to offer a refund because of my refund history.

Are drivers stealing items? Is the fulfillment team just bad at their jobs? What is going on and how is it legal that GoPuff can just steal my money and refuse to send a replacement or a refund?

Orzo

My cutie boy after a groom. First two photos are current, last 3 are the old way.

I can’t seem to get my groomer to leave his face round anymore! They used to do it perfectly…but then after ONE time where I asked for a full shave down (no Lagotto standard cut) they cut his face like this or even shorter every time. It’s not bad. But I miss the round lollipop head.

I’ve asked in so many variations to keep his face long. Any advice on how to convince them?

Hateful Father Unknowingly Triggers Me

My dad has always been a struggle for me. He’s narcissistic (truly) and cruel. When my mom was alive, she kept him in check as much as she could. But I had no idea how much worse he would get after she passed. He really went off the deep end when she went away. Like…fully unstable and I cut off 90% of my contact with him. Which was more simple than I thought it would be…since my mom was no longer calling, I mostly stopped hearing from him anyway and I don’t reach out except for holidays.

I stay off of Facebook to avoid his vitriol and he’s muted on Instagram. But last night I wanted to look of FB Marketplace for a table and his post was at the very top, grabbing my attention before I could click to the Marketplace button.

Basically, he was loudly and proudly saying that “Rainbow Perv Month” (Pride month) should be cancelled because it’s demonic and evil. That we should spend the month celebrating wives and veterans instead….as if queer vets and queer wives don’t exist? Idk

But I’m queer. So whenever I see him post sh*t like this, it hurts me so much. He doesn’t know - I’ll never come out to him. But part of me feels like I should say something to shut him up. Everyone else is afraid of him. The only people who ever put him in his place were me and my mom. She’s gone, and I’ve stopped trying.

But his hate is getting louder and more toxic than ever. Should I reply - at least to set him straight, so that his bubble is popped? Or just stay silent, knowing that he would hate me and disown me if he knew that I was LGBTQ+?

Not invited to reception? Normal?

UPDATE Woah this got more heated opinions than I expected haha.

  • It’s an all inclusive resort, drinks, food and even all activities for the 3 days are included and won’t incur extra costs for guests.
  • There IS a Cocktail Hour and Reception that we are not invited to.
  • The couple is having an intimate, sit down dinner with family and wedding party only, while the rest of the guests will have casual dinners/food/drinks elsewhere on the premises. Kind of a choose your own adventure time zone.
  • The after party starts at 9pm, not 8pm. Oops.

I have never been to a wedding and not been invited to all events, but apparently this is called a Tiered Wedding/Split Invitation to be able to invite everyone they love while keeping some parts intimate (and probably costs down) 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a fellow budget bride with a huge circle, I am not feeling offended or angry about this - I just wish there was more communication on the front end instead of having to ask.

Friend invited me to Ceremony and After Party but not the Reception of a destination wedding. Normal or not?

Background:

I got engaged and am planning a destination wedding for late 2027. My friend got engaged and is having a destination wedding this year. She and her man are invited to our wedding.

When they got engaged, she texted me photos of the ring and told me the engagement story, I was so excited for her. Then she texted me photos of her dress after she found it and asked if it was too much for a beach wedding and I responded something like “Omg no! It’s perfect, I can’t wait to see you walk down the aisle looking so stunning in it!!”

We had been texting every day about wedding planning details and all of the ups and downs of doing destination…but after that text, she didn’t respond.

I text her about few more times about other unrelated life things…radio silence. Now it’s been a few weeks. Strange. I start feeling anxious - like I messed up by saying that.

She comments on an instagram post of mine about my dog, but still hasn’t responded to the texts.

So I texted her: “Oops, we are invited right? Haha I just assumed, but that was so rude, I shouldn’t have - literally no worries if not - I’m having to cut so many unexpected people from my invite list due to budget so I totally get it!”

Now I think I’ve made it worse. I try to unsend the text, but it’s been too long. She responds a day later: “Yeah of course! Don’t worry at all, I’m just late to getting invites sent out”

Fast forward 3 months. Invite comes, and we are only invited to the Ceremony and After Party, NOT the reception.

Now I feel even worse because what if I made her feel weird and she didn’t even want us there to begin with, but is trying to be nice by squeezing us into some of it? Am I over thinking this? Why would she include me in all the pre-wedding details if she wasn’t planning on inviting me? Did I accidentally make her life more stressful? Or is it totally normal to not be invited to a Reception for a destination wedding?

Does anyone else’s Lagotto act extra sweet after you take a trip without them?? We just got back from a 10 day trip to Europe and now that we are back home - I barely recognize this Extra Good Boy.

He’s less barky, more snuggly, and his recall is ON POINT. This is not the dog I left behind 10 days ago 🤣 His stomping demands for pets are just as intense as ever though.
