Being about to enter a playthrough in a cute fangame, where EVERY Pokémon is available, I wanted to make something a tad different this time: it's easy to blaze through a game with your usual Garchomps and Arcanines, but I wanted to give some love to the underdogs too.

I'm curious to find out which Pokémon are actually the least utilized by the player base for every single generation through a series of surveys, and for each gen the top 5 will constitute my encounter pool (I know this equals to 30+ Pokémon, but trust me, the game is pretty big).

RULES:

1. Write down in the comments, the three Pokémon you used the least in your playthroughs of that region. It can be that you never used them because you heavily dislike them, because they are inconspicuous and bland, or because you never had the chance, or simply have no intention to ever use them, motives can vary.

2. Only final forms will be considered. For example, you may choose Tangela as an option for Gen 1, but if Tangela were to win the survey, that would make Tangrowth uneligible to be selected for Gen 4

3. The Five most selected Pokémon will make up the selection for this Generation. Both single posts and upvotes will be considered. Additionally, I'll make the same survey with a group of friends, who will select ONE additional choice, revving up the total to Six Pokémon per Generation.

4. Regional Forms will be considered part of the Generations they were introduced in (example: Ninetales Alola is considered Gen 7).

5. NO LEGENDARIES

The final generation is at hand, as we delve into Paldea's huge roster! I've decided to apply some much needed limitations: since they are post-game material, Paradox Pokémon are EXCLUDED from this voting. Keeping that in mind, let us come to a conclusion of this lovely series! :D

Results were much more split this time around, and the 5th place resulted in a three way tie. Since I always use Ursaluna, and I kinda dislike Sneasler (I mean, don't we all?), I've decided to give Basculegion some time in the spotlight. Inteleon unanimously won my friends' survey, and before its fans come for me, I am not happy about it winning either🥲

It's time to fly to Alola, and here things might get tricky thanks to Rule 4! Every single ALOLAN FORM is eligible to be selected, since it was introduced in Generation 7! And they are not Legendaries, but I have decided to also ban Ultra Beasts from the voting. Being found pre-Post Game, Silvally WILL be eligible for voting. However, to make things more fair to the Native Alolan mons, at least TWO out of the three votes available has to be used on Alolan mons, with the remaining if you want, for an Alolan Form. This oughta make it more interesting!

Voting affluence was decidedly small, much like Kalos' dex, and it was very close! Within my friends' group, Dedenne won almost unanimously. Excited for this batch, but sad Dragalge and Gogoat lost in the end!

Arguably the hardest poll for everyone is next, since the Kalos Pokédex sports a measly 72 Pokémon to choose from! Even less if you consider legendaries, so I'm sure the Pokémon nobody used/wishes to use are harder to count.

This poll gifted me with arguably the strongest Pokémon so far, which I'm not really sure I deserved😂 but I'll take it! I guess if nobody used them it is in the spirit of the poll still. Shoutout to Queen Durant who almost made it, yet narrowly lost :( the winner of my friends' poll is the cryptic Cryogonal! Excited for this one :D

We have a very interesting poll next, as the Unova Dex is officially the biggest of every region. There's tons of options to choose from, and I honestly can't wait to see who will come out on top!

The results this time around were a bit closer: Lumineon and Vespiquen dominated the results, with the other trailing not too far behind, fighting for the last spot. I am pleased to announce that Chatot won the "jury" vote amongst my friends, as it's a Pokémon you basically never see being used. I do feel like Carnivine was robbed a bit, and something curious to me is how close was Porygon to making it in Gen 1, but Porygon Z received so few votes this time. Also, I expected Wormadam and Mothim to rack up a lot more votes. Oh well🤷🏻‍♀️

The fan favorite Generation is finally here! Sinnoh houses a lot of powerful Pokémon, so I wonder who will come out on top! A few ground rules: you MAY vote for Wormadam, but only for one pattern. And the three patterns are treated as different species. This is to (hopefully) avoid using three of them, since I reckon most would just vote the three forms as their top three💀 and, you MAY select a baby Pokémon (Bonsly or Chingling etc.), but keep in mind I will use their EVOLUTION. And obviously, Tangrowth and Mismagius are both DISABLED from the voting.

For those puzzled by the end Results of Hoenn, here's a simple explanation: y'all made Plusle, Minun and Illumise win, so I didn't feel like excluding Volbeat, who came in sixth anyways. And, my friends' group's survey reached a tie between Swalot and Kecleon, and both sides refused to declare one simple winner. So I thought, why not try them all? :D

I feel like I respected the polls by including the top 5 anyways (you monsters are making me use Luvdisc for crying out loud), so might as well have some fun and spice it up!

We proceed on to Hoenn! Whoever dowvoted Unown and upvoted Skarmory, you have my most INFINITE gratitude. Among my friends' poll, Slowking won the sixth spot! Though one of them is mad because she adamantly wanted Politoed to win, I think it's a pretty good choice!

There's not many considerations to do, since this time around there were basically no ties. Magcargo absolutely dominated the polls, and I'm quite shocked Misdreavus made it. Personally, I'm kinda sad I won't get to try Octillery, I feel like that one is the definition of underdog.

A few considerations: Jynx clearly won the surveys, alongside Parasect and Seaking. For the others there was a massive tie at the 9 Votes mark, so I decided to go with the only one out of these mons I had never used, aka Machamp. Hypno and Porygon I both used, so I went with a coin flip, and Tangela was actually the mon selected by my friends group's survey. I tried to be as fair as I could, let me know if there could be improvements for the next surveys!
