Increased Russian sabotage attempts prompts EU response

I decided to quit smoking today. I have until December 11 to prepare for a 26.2-mile marathon.
I currently have basically zero running experience. I’m planning to run 3x a week and strength train 2x a week.
Be brutally honest: is this realistic, and what should I be doing from day one? Any advice from people who went from smoking/no running to marathon training?
