Alarm.com Down

My panel is currently reporting a Broadband Network Failure, and I’m also unable to log in to the app. This appears to be part of a larger-scale service outage, as the panel itself is unable to establish a connection to the backend services.

At this point, both remote app access and the panel’s connection to cloud services are unavailable, so this does not appear to be an issue with my local network or internet connection. It looks like there may be a broader platform or server-side outage impacting multiple customers.

The best of the best.

I have a total of 18 SmartWings shades, covering every single window in my house, and I couldn’t recommend them more. They’ve been absolutely rock solid, look fantastic, and work flawlessly. After outfitting my entire home with them, I can confidently say—they simply don’t come any better than this. SmartWings has a customer for life!

This one took awhile.

Took me a long time to get those switches that straight in a 4 gang box. But was it worth it, absolutely. 👍

BestBuy do better.

This is a $200 outdoor lamp from Hue. BestBuy. You suck. Looks like it was returned then dragged behind a truck.

The Obsession Continues…

Omniglow up the staircase! I absolutely love how this one turned out. The color gradient is incredible and completely transforms the space. Philips Hue… just take all my money already. 😂💸

Walmart - Better Homes Lamp

If anyone is looking for a floor lamp that works well with Philips Hue bulbs, this one is a great option. Like a lot of people, I spent way too much time searching online, trying to figure out which lamps would actually fit Hue bulbs. This Better Homes & Gardens floor lamp from Walmart checked all the boxes—and at around $75, it’s a fantastic value.
The Hue bulbs will definitely cost more than the lamp itself, but in my opinion, they’re absolutely worth it. The lighting, colors, scenes, and overall ambiance completely transform the space. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Alarm.com Smart Home

I've been integrating my Alarm.com system for a little over a year now, and one of the things I love most is having everything in a single app. Right now I have my lights, locks, alarm, garage door, blinds, cameras, and irrigation all tied together and working from one interface.

One of my favorite additions has been my SmartWings Z-Wave blinds. They've been reliable, easy to integrate, and work seamlessly with the rest of my setup.

For me, the biggest benefit is not having to jump between 10 different apps just to manage my home. Everything is centralized, which makes automations and day-to-day use much simpler.

I'm curious how everyone else is approaching their smart home setup. Are you keeping everything within Alarm.com, using another platform as the primary hub, or mixing multiple ecosystems? Any devices, integrations, or automation ideas you'd recommend?

Also I feel like we need an Alarm.com Flair in this sub!

Sleeping at a friends house

Does anyone else feel weird sleeping naked at a friend's house, even if you've known them forever?

I'm staying with a friend I've been close with for years, and I have my own room, so it's not like I'm sharing a space with anyone. At home I usually sleep naked because it's just what's comfortable for me, but for some reason it feels a little strange doing it while staying at someone else's house.

Nothing has happened and my friend wouldn't care either way, but I still feel oddly self-conscious about it. Am I overthinking this, or do other people feel the same way?

Rainbird Integration

Recently upgraded to the new Rain Bird 2.0 system, which pushed updated firmware to both my controller and irrigation module. Since the upgrade, my irrigation system has stopped working properly and no longer seems to communicate correctly with Alarm.com.

Before the firmware update, everything was functioning as expected. Now, schedules and controls either aren't syncing or aren't responding at all through Alarm.com.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues after upgrading to Rain Bird 2.0? If so, have you found a workaround or received any guidance from support?

Also, does anyone know if Alarm.com and Rain Bird are aware of this compatibility problem and actively working on a fix? Any updates or insights would be appreciated.
