Pike’s Peak Marathon spectating

Hi all, I’m a flatlander heading to the Springs in September to do the Pike’s Peak Marathon, so not very familiar with the Manitou area.

Looking for some advice for my dad, who will be spectating. I’m aware he can pay a couple bucks to drive up and see me at the summit, but I was wondering what other (more worthwhile for him) ideas there might be. It would be nice if he could hike in a little and see me twice, on my way up and back down, maybe at an aid station or something. He’d probably be up for a mile or two of hiking. I know there’s a spot where the Barr Trails nearly meets the Incline. But I can’t figure out if there would be any other convenient places for him to park and hike in from. I’m also not sure if the trail will be open to spectators that day.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for doc recs

Hi all, looking for some trail running/ultra related YouTube recommendations for the treadmill. Specifically ones that are more upbeat and might focus more on the stakes or competitive nature of the sport. I really enjoyed Miller vs. Hawks, Unbreakable, and The Chase. I don’t follow Nick Bare but did enjoy his BYU doc, Surrender. I also like the ones that follow their runners, ie. Chasing Walmsley, which centers around his Grand Canyon attempt (and again, M vs. H).
Thanks in advance!
