The Scriptorium

I am playing currently wild beyond the witchlight with some additional content from  Daniel Kahn and tried to recreate some of the maps.

Forgetting Fablerise

I am using the  Daniel Kahn additions to witchlight and my players are about to travel to Fablerise.
So I tried to recreate the map. It is not super accurate but should do the job.

And yes, I painted each and every book o__o

App for planning builds

Basic version with just colors

You can add custom tiles and set custom colors or image texture. You can also use custom tiles to create more custom combination tiles

3D view as a gimmick

If you want to rebuild a map you an also load it in.

Hey! A few month ago I created a post about a tool I have written. A small (now a little bit bigger) web app to plan out terrain builds with different tile systems.

There are two major use cases:

  1. Recreate maps for pre-written campaigns
  2. Freely build

I do most of my builds with a mix of warlock tiles, dungeons and lasers and some self crafted tiles. That in mind I tried to make it as tile agnostic as possible. The most important part for me is, to know how many tiles I need and if I have enough.

Because of that, you see a summary of used tiles and in the tile settings you can also set a limit for specific tiles. Which is quite handy.

In the end, you can save the map as a json to import it later but also export the project as a csv (which tiles are used) or a "cheat sheet pdf" which a list of used tiles and the layout you created.

Recently I made some bigger updates and added support for custom tiles and textures (images).
You can now create custom tiles form the basic shapes, add images or custom colors and also create combination tiles (also from created custom tiles). This way it is quite easy to create for example wood floor tiles, stone floor tiles, different combinations of the city floors etc.

It is not super optimized for warlock tiles, but works for me quite well. Some features I have on my list would be connection points for warlock tiles. Sometimes it is hard to plan out a build with the inner walls and the warlock clips.

It is free and all browser / client based.

You can check it out at https://gridarchitect.org/

And let me know what you think!

Ruins of middle-earth modular boards

I sniped recently the ruins of middle-earth set for a few bucks and as you can never have enough ruins I thought I make some modular boards with them. Normally I rather use scatter terrain for d&d but tbh the ruins alone looked kinda lonely.

I used some hirstarts molds for the ground tiles and plaster to fill the empty spaces.

App like lighterpack but for food

Hey there!

I've been recently working on a very small project to help me keep track of my meals, calories and proteins. I was using mostly some excel sheets, but my excel skills are quite bad in opposite to my coding skills.

So I made a small website where I can better plan my meals for trips.

  • You can plan each day
  • Set calorie goals for each day
  • Track your meals with weight, calories and protein
  • Export / import as json
  • Export as a pdf table

And thats it. It saves stuff in the browser cache, so if you clear it, everything will be gone.

You can visit it at lightermeal.netlify.app

Hey there!

I play D&D only in-person and oldschool with paper and not dnd beyond. So I need quite often print outs of items I hand out my players. And because I am lazy and do not want to fiddle around with photoshop I create a small website to create print outs of magic item cards and one for magic spells.

You can also upload item images or illustrations and also save / load the items in case you want to print them again or modify.

Its free, so check it out and let me know what you think:
