[Stonewalkers] NonSinger player attuned a song for just a moment. What do you think?

So while running, there was a chance for a character to grieve with a Singer NPC over their fallen family member. A lot of wild rolls even got them to the point where this didn't come to blows, but the player who was listening to them attune to loss, grieving over their fallen Sister, asked if they could some how grieve with them in solidarity. I said it would be a difficult insight roll to understand what would be appropriate for their cultural differences and the likes and we would raise the stakes on it since it could go so very wrong.

They then rolled an opportunity and a natural 20. I let them begin to hum along with the group as they grieved, joining in there song and for just a second, feel connected to the rest of those who are attuned and singing. I know they lack a Gemheart to be able to do something like that, but it felt so very right in the moment. Part of my reasoning was that they were holding into their Peakspren and it felt like they all could have some how been in that moment for just a second.

My question in general is. How would this continue to play into their character? They are almost assuredly going to swear their first ideal next session. It was an amazing roll and a fight for peace and understanding and I feel like it should mean something more in the larger scheme of things. Any suggestions?

The Matrix Program Package - A Gem from the Early Days of Decking

I dug up another absolutely GEM of a series of programs that went freeware. It needs some extra programs to run on Windows 10 or 11, but I reached out to the creator. So if we can get the source code, I can move this over to modern programming to be able to run native on Windows 11 without extra steps. It is -amazing- though!

Let me know what you guys think, if you would use something like this for your older games or if something like this would be interesting for newer editions?

Players always forcing swarms for smiting?

So I ran a one shot and someone rolled insanely well for their vigor. 17 or 18, can't remember. In either case, all players realized he was a smiting machine. He also rolled the vulture knight. So every combat was an attempt to group everyone up together and then nearly ending it in one stroke with smites.

I didn't want to rule that his smite would hit his fellow players since it would make smite unless. When 5 NPCs attack 4 PCs. It all becomes one big mass attacking another mass? I'm guessing I just don't understand something.

This is still very much a work in progress, but I wanted to see how well it might do with the right crowd. I know a lot of folks have all kinds of different ways to play the game. This is hopefully one of the more simpler ways to do it.

I am still working on the "Saving maps as pictures" and how the hexes look, so its bound to get some changes. I know its also a bit janky here and there but this is more of a chance to get feed back and present a final product. Let me know what you think!
