SLPT: How to set up an alert (Google?) for someone's obituary

MODS: I tried over at r/AskReddit, but their rules make my question off-limits, and I kinda don't know where to ask this. Remove as you see fit. Thx.

My POS father left when I was two. Never heard from him again. Looked him up recently, and he's still alive. I've had no contact for more than fifty years, and I don't want any. I just wanna know when he dies. His name is (surprisingly) not as uncommon as I thought, but I want to figure out how to automate looking for his obituary. I know where he lives (or lived until a couple years ago), know his spouse's name, etc. How do I set up a search for his obituary that will keep running?

Again, not looking for contact. Just wanna know he's dead so's I can buy my ma some flowers (without telling her why), and lift a glass myself. Thx.

Will regular bike trays fit fatties?

Might be going to pick up (after test riding, etc.) my first fatbike. I only have my old Thule Apex hitch-mount. It fits 29ers just fine. Will I need to air way down to get the Bud and Lou tires securely strapped down? Or...? Thx.

EDIT: It is NOT an Apex. Trying to figure out what it is (two-bike, standing mount not hanging).

EDIT 2: It's like what a Thule T2 Pro is now (it's about 13-14yo).

Pup suddenly doesn't like her pill

My dog (F2y8mos, lab mix) has suddenly stopped liking her Simparica pill. She used to take it like a treat into the living room to eat it at her leisure on the carpet. Two months ago she kinda mouthed it, left it to sorta melt into the carpet, then finished it up. Last month and this month, she has refused to eat them at all. I've tried dipping it bacon grease, egg yolk, breaking it up and putting in kibble -- doesn't matter. She finds the pieces, licks them clean and spits them out.

Failing any other method, is it safe to just blend it up, like really pulverize it to add to wet food?

EDIT TO ADD: Wrapping with cheese just gets her cheese and a spit-out pill. Ditto peanut butter, etc. Pill pockets don't work; she'll just gingerly eat around the pill. For folks who don't know Simparica Trio pills are pretty big and require a good bit of chewing (or effort on my part in the kitchen to break it up). I mean, I have REALLY tried. These pills (for me) are about US$40 per, so I really, really need her to eat them.

[SUB MODERATION] Before we bug the mods about auto-mod replies...

Before we bug the mods about Auto-Mod replies, I want to make sure I actually have a complaint to report (I'm not sure I do). Looking at a post in New (https://www.reddit.com/r/coloradohikers/comments/1uigsxi/ice_lake_basin_72326/), there are four Auto-Mod replies: FAQ review (natch), snow conditions, fire and smoke, and fire questions.

My question, and thus why I haven't contacted the mods directly, is this: do we have any way of knowing if and how many folks use these links and this information? Just like the "this is NOT an 'ask CO hikers' sub" notice during post, I know it's supposed to shape traffic so that the sub stays focused, but is the Auto-Mod going too far? I mean, I can see where keywording nabbed this post ("Given the wildfire smoke blanketing the San Juans this weekend") but...

Aw, h*ck. I'm not sure what my question is. I don't mind the Auto-Mod at all, and I am one who is in favor of risking over-informing rather than under-informing. But four replies on the same post? I just don't want the Auto-Mod to become background noise because it is very important and useful info. Sorry this isn't a very quality post (flaired Conservation cuz I needed a flair, and this is about sub conservation, yeah?)

ETA: Aaand I just generated four Auto-Mod replies. Hm.

Vinyl stickers -- Western Slope recommendations

I'm looking for a shop that can do vinyl lettering for my rear doors. The question I answer most when I'm out on the trail is "is she friendly?" Yes, my dog is friendly and loves everyone and would love it if you pet her. I say this sometimes dozens of times in a weekend, so I want to put "[my pup's name] -- Pet me! I'm friendly!!" below the windows on both sides so folks know. Has anyone gotten sticker work done west of Vail (about as far east as I wanna go)? Gran Farnum Printing in GWS and MicroPlastics in Rifle are my first inclination, so if anyone's worked with them, please let me know; I'll be calling this morning anyway. Thx.

NB: I am absolutely not saying it's a drag for folks to ask me. Quite the opposite, I think it's GREAT that folks are polite and cautious with a strange dog. I just want to make it easier for my pup to get scritches and love if I'm otherwise occupied and can't answer the question.
