Second (and I think, final) vintage pair for your perusal!

After posting my rainbow pair earlier, I went back to the pile of old Converse I was sorting through and realised I probably shouldn’t assume anything about these either!

Again bought second-hand years ago, around the same sort of time as the rainbow pair in the other post.

The tongue label says SKU#1K426
UK 4 / EU 36.5 / JP 23

I’ve tried searching the SKU and various descriptions of the design but haven’t managed to find another pair.

I promise I didn’t join this sub purely to make you identify my entire shoe cupboard 😂 — I’ve just suddenly realised that some of the Converse I’ve owned for years are much more interesting than I thought.

Does anyone recognise this model/colourway or know roughly what era it came from? Suddenly found a hobby I didn’t know I’d have! 🤣

2008 SKU 1U839 🌈 identification!

I bought these second-hand years ago and have just rediscovered them while having a clear-out. I was going to list them on Vinted, but I can’t find another pair like them anywhere online, so now I’m curious!

SKU 1U839
7K 06 08 W91
UK 4 / EU 36.5 / 23cm
Made in China

From what I’ve been able to work out, the label appears to date them to around 2008, but I’d love to know if anyone here recognises the actual colourway/release or can confirm the date.

They’re also in remarkably good condition — I bought them used myself, but the soles have barely any wear and the canvas is still really bright.

I’m particularly curious because searching the exact SKU brings up virtually nothing. Does anyone remember these, know anything about this release, or know whether older unusual colourways like this are collected?

I’m not desperate to sell them (I actually still love them 😂), so I’m mainly trying to work out exactly what I’ve got before I decide whether they go back in my wardrobe or get sold.

Thanks, Converse detectives! 🌈👟

Harrow Health impossible to contact

To date, I’ve been really impressed with Harrow Health, but currently I’ve had my medication paused and they are “urgently” reviewing an ECG. They are impossible to contact. If I call, I get put through to an external triage service to pass on a message which never gets responded to, and if I email, the inbox is full and it bounces back. I’m without medication and struggling so much.

Taken off medication due to HR.

51F, AuDHD, started titration around 6m ago.

Started methylfenadate first, unfortunately developed facial tics. Swapped to lisdexamphetamine - brilliant results - truly life changing for me. Previous to this, I had no life. I work 10 hour shifts in a demanding professional job and I was literally working and recovering from work with no life at all, constantly exhausted. Unable to cut my hours to manage as am a single parent. On the medication, I suddenly had a life. It’s been incredible.

However, my consultant and I (Harrow) devised to just try 40mg instead of 30mg to see. When they upped the meds I reported a HR on 30mg of 97 bpm. However they were happy to increase to 40mg. I saw my consultant last week and reported a heart rate (when sat) of 100bpm. BP normal. I realise this is a bit high, I felt like it was only like the couple of hours after taking the meds that it was a bit high.. it settled after.

Consultant stopped the medication pending an ECG. Had it, it’s ok except a ‘borderline QT’, I work in medical field, our consultant said he wouldn’t be worried about that.

I have some tablets left so I took them for the last two days of work before the weekend and said I’d stop at the weekend. I couldn’t function. Exhausted, not able to function at all.

Now I’m terrified they will take me off. I cannot go back to how it was. Anyone had a similar experience? I hear non stimulants are not a great alternative but I’d love to hear experiences.

Reform!

In light of the current local election results, assuming it continues and Reform get in.. what are people’s thoughts about what happens to the NHS? What will it look like? What will happen to our jobs.. benefits such as sickness pay.. pensions?
