What can I do to make sure it's printed the right size? My printer messes up sometimes 😅

I wanted to make a tiered skirt but found out that apparently I can't use knit fabric for it because it'll be too heavy and warp, so now I have A BUNCH of white knit fabric. What can I make with it?

It has good reviews but I'm just not convinced, also can I use knit fabric with it?

I read a few articles of the importance and yet I am still left confused... I have woven fabric (very delicate and heat isn't good for it as the worker in the store told me) and I don't get it, do I need to iron it in the beginning before cutting, or press it??

Hi! So I am making pajama pants and using a tutorial, I have drafted the panel for the pants but now she is saying to add darts and it's a bit different to each person. She said I would need 2 darts if I have a small waist and bigger hip, but what size? She said they should be max 3cm wide, but how do I know how much should mine be? I understand the point of them but darn so far this is super difficult 😭

I know it's funny the stitches do light me up, but honestly I saw the decorative ones and knew those would be amazing to sew on some jeans and I'll add my

own embroidery touch to it. Generally speaking I am a crafty girl, I hand sew, knit, crochet, punch needle, do marame and much more. I have been wanting a sewing machine for years but due to lack of storage my parents did not allow it. Now that I finally can get a machine I want a good one, sure a simple one works just as good but I do prefer one that let's me grow with it and do a bit more advanced projects (which might be a stupid argument considering it's probably gonna be doing the same thing as simpler ones just with more features) especially with the ability to change the speed and learn easily and later have it a bit easier on me. It's not cheap but it's also not crazy expensive so I just don't know if I should buy it. I am talking specifically about the Bernette B38, which I have seen videos about and no review has any actual complaint. Is it stupid to spend this much money (talking about approximately 1300$) for a machine when I never even used a machine?

Would that be accurate? Or even sooner?

• I don't have my seeing machine yet, and I am trying to see what to buy, have any good tutorials on general sewing? Also do the needles need to be specific for my machine?

Hey so I will be heading off to the military nezt year in around December and it's not allowed to keep cartilage earrings in, I have double helix that healed and have hoops in them (they were looked at by professional piearcers and are definitely doing well!), they are currently a year and a bit old (done in april of last year by piercing guns - no need to lecture me and I very much regret that I did it this way, but headed the right way from now on! Anyways they were changed into titanium earrings and looked at by professional piercers to help them heal, and this was all in last December). If I take them out next year (when they will be 2+ years old) and put them back in possibly every weekend or so, would it work? I really don't want to mess with them but clear earrings are not an option sadly

The "Bernette 05 Academy" and the "Bernette Sew&Go 8"

The 05 Academy is much cheaper and comes with an extension table and the Sew&Go 8 gives many options of stitches and even very pretty decorative ones and letters. I am having a hard time choosing which ones because I really want the Sew&Go 8 but an extension table would be quite a big deal for me and aince I couldn't find an extension table that is compatible with the Sew&Go 8 (even though it has the ability to be attached I can not find the specific table for it), so which one do you guys think is better?

I am a complete beginner and on a little bit of a cheap budget which is why I chose cheaper ones

Hi, I'd love to buy a sewing machine and have heard amazing things about Bernina, I have never sewn with a machine and would love to begin. I am looking for a good quality machine that's good for years to come and even when I advance. Any recommendations?

Hi, I have been wanting for years to buy a sewing machine but never got to it, I do a bunch of crafts including hand sewing and recently decided it's time to invest in a machine and actually make clothes and things for my personal use.

I leadn quickly and have actually been taught by my grandmother how to use hers when I was younger, I know just the very simple basics and I don't know how to choose a machine, there are so many types companies, electronic/mechanical and so much more and I feel overwhelmed having to choose one without the knowledge of which I should choose.

I want one that is good quality

Preferably a good amount of stitches

Possibly automatic tension? (Read about sewing machines and saw that's an option, how hard manual tension?)

Mechanical should work just fine

I don't have a lot of space so it should be light to medium weight and not attached to a whole table

Anything else you think is worth looking for?

And any recommendations for machines?

I have this friend who had a BUNCH of dwarf hamsters as a kid with a huge cage that has a few stories. Now mind you they were all together in the same cage with little (probs terrible) bedding. The way they all died you ask? One day she found a snake outside and they were moving or something so the cage was also outside, and she was scared the snake is still there so for days they were left outside with no food or water. Of course the responsibility should have been the dad but I guess he got tired of raising them that he just let them die out there and told himself it's her fault. The huge amount of mistakes in hamster care that this story has is crazy, but fast forward to today -

I have my own hamster in a proper cage with all the love she deserves, now this friend thinks she knows how hamsters should be raised and not only that she also thinks the way I take care of her and how much effort I put in is too much because "it's just a hamster", I took her to the vet a few days ago (she's fine dw!) and told my friend this, before even explaining anything she said "Why did you take her to the vet", "Hamsters don't need the vet, their just hamsters"

Wow, this is just shows how little she cares about animals, and she actually used to own cats not long ago which seems concerning.

Truly leaves me speechless everytime
