My (completely facetious) literary theory is that if your forced transformation setting couldn't survive Billy "the Butcher" from The Boys without the writer having to intervene, then it's not a worthy setting. The Conversion Bureau wouldn't stand a chance. The Affini? Please, they're entirely powered by narrative fiat. I think the Changed setting would survive if Billy replaced Colin, but even naked I feel like Billy could fuck up a Squog somehow

Learning ASL with Nonverbal Learning Disorder?
I have something called "nonverbal learning disorder," which presents itself as visuo-spatial deficits, but superior language skills. When I'm learning a spoken/written foreign language, I excel at listening and reading and everything else comes pretty naturally. I have learned a little due to my deaf wife teaching me some but I've never been in a class for it or anything. She says my sign production sucks ass basically. I like textbook study to learn at my own pace, but I don't think ASL has any textbooks, and I feel like I need help with sign production and clarity, especially with fingerspelling. What's the best way to get specialized help, or like tutoring for this? I feel like I would need speech/language therapy but for sign language lol.
