Mastercard Australia consultant hierarchy?
Can someone explain the individual contributor/consultant hierarchy (entry to mid-level analytics) at Mastercard?
Is it:
- Associate Analyst
- Analyst
- Associate Manager
- Manager
- Senior Manager --> is this where the people management/leadership starts?
I was contacted for a job and they said my current salary as a Lead (in a different org) is for a Senior Manager not for a Manager.
The salary is 15% less.
I thought an AM is like a lead role then Manager is the start of leadership (e.g. "Manager, Data Analytics")?
After removal, how many times do you have to go to the toilet and what's the consistency of your poop?
My gallbladder was removed in 2021. Since then, I have to go to the toilet maybe 3-4 times in the morning, within the first 2 hours of waking up.
Is it the same for most who went through the surgery?
1st poop - soft, which i think is normal?
2nd to 3rd/4th time - just liquid (which might be bile?)
UPDATE: I have high fibre diet. Eating clean too since I am lifting, often avoiding junk foods and fatty foods.
What should I do? :(
How can I improve my body?
Should I cut or maintain? My trainer said I should maintain and add cardio so that I don't lose some strength for my training.
I am very insecure with my upper body, love handles and chest aren't that great. I used to be fat, so definitely getting better but still far from good.
I'm not after abs and everything, just better physique.
Age: 35
Weight: 67kg / 148 lbs
Height: 163 cm / 5'4"
Lifestyle: 4 days training + 1 day swimming + 1 day running per week + at least 10K steps every day
Food: Eating maintenance at the moment
Strength training is going well and progressing.
I had gyno removed a couple of years ago, opted not to have lipo as I was really hopeful I can do it at the gym, but here we are, still struggling.
Note: I am not naked here. Just lowered my shorts for you to see how my love handles look like.
The reality of job seeking in today's world

Recruiters, Talent Acquisitions and Hiring Managers
Thank you for being compassionate, immediately getting back to the applicants about the results and providing real feedback.
You are a rare breed in this cruel recruitment world.
Some of us are in tough situations and you making an effort to share the outcome makes a lot of difference.
Another tech redundancies coming from Woolies
They are moving IT jobs in Asia. Not sure where. I think it's time for the government to step in and put a limit or restrictions (or incentives). Years ago they said there's not enough IT workers but now there's not enough roles for us as they are now offshore.
What's left for Australians or tech immigrants who thought there's something for them here?
As someone who's still looking for a job after being made redundant, I feel bad for the ones affected by this. :(
It's a tough situation.
Lost my job, am I eligible for JobSeeker payments?
I lost my job earlier this year and it's very difficult to land a job in IT in the current market due to mass layoffs. The redundancy package I got is running out. Am I eligible to get any from JobSeeker?
• I have a partner, base salary is $120K
• We have a mortgage (roughly $6,500/mth including strata and council rates)
• Current home equity is around $80K (mortgage started just over a year ago)
• My base salary before was around $170K
I have read the terms online but there's just a lot of information which made me very confused.
I hope someone could help dumb it down a bit?
I am really hoping to get a job soon. :(
With our mortgage, it's my partner's whole salary per month.
Should I exclude my 3 months consultancy experience?
I worked full-time continuing role for a big consulting firm for 3 months a few years ago then resigned because I got a better offer from a well-known Australian brand which I accepted.
Should I eliminate this on my resume? Does this cause a massive red flag?
This new 'hiring world' is very difficult
With AI, the hiring process has been very difficult.
- The automated system uses keywords and ranking powered by AI
- If you don't align your resume and cover letter, using AI, you have a small chance of getting anything (unless manually read by recruiters)
- BUT at the same time, you don't even know if the recruiter is okay in having a profile optimised by AI. Some argues, "I want someone who can write and communicate."
Where is the middle ground then? If some are okay with AI, but some aren't which way should you go? It's now like a gamble.
To be honest, I don't even think this is working for both sides.
Recruiters: Do you read/like cover letters?
I was told most of the time, cover letters are not even being read. Is this true?
I wrote one earlier today and it was from scratch. I didn't use AI to write it. Do you prefer it this way, if you do read them?
To everyone whose role was made redundant the past 12 months, how are you doing? If you found a new job, congratulations, if you're still looking, best of luck to all of us. 🍀
reddit.comHow do you spread your macros?
I'm 163cm, currently at 67kg.
My macros at the moment are:
At 2,350 kcal:
Protein: 160
Carbs: 270
Fats: 70
Looking it up, my max protein should only be around 134 do you adjust this and where do you recommend to put the calories?
My goal is to just be consistent with my workouts and have better muscle / physique in the long run. I have been fat when I was younger but now getting better. Chest is better, mainly fat concern are the love handles.
