Zheight - Keeps increasing?

EDIT: Problem solved. The common thread of these failed prints was a particular spool of AnyCubic texture gray filament. Why I didn’t put two and two together is I have several partial spools I haven’t respooled.

All but one of them works fine. All are dry. Oddest thing.

Original post.

I’ve not been able to figure this one out.

I’ve done countless Hueforge prints, and this is a recent, intermittent issue without a clear cause or solution.

The print starts off well. My bed is leveled at start of each print. Perfect layers to start, then I see and hear the nozzle dragging. To compensate I raise the zheight by lowering the bed in .025 increments.

Ii started out at a zheight of .1. Now at .8 and only 30% done with the print.

This doesn’t happen on every print.

No one ever drove Foxbody Mustangs

I swear, every dang day come across posts and ads where clapped out Foxbody cars have “35k original miles”.

Anyone else find this?

Doing truck thangz

This thing hauls. I was skeptical at first, but I never even feel the load in the back.

Tired of F-150 fanbois talking junk about the Ridgeline.

This is before I put the Traeger and two bags of mulch in the back.

Last weekend I did an IKEA run and had 4 Kallax shelves in the back. One of them was fully assembled.

LCD Screen Failure 5M Question

Let’s start with the question.

Is there a way to definitively know the LCD is bad before ordering a new one?

I’ve done the known diagnostics of checking the connections and ribbon cable for damage. All checks out.

With approximately 1000 hours on my Adventurer 5M, the screen has gone dark.

I understand these only have a 90-day warranty, so at almost 6 months of ownership, I’m probably on my own. I’d expect more longevity from a non-moving part.

Bonus question; is this common?
