I started this build journey a year ago with people telling me the dial couldn’t be made. It was the first jeweled rep that actually spoke to me. Since then I’ve fallen down another branch of this damn stupid rabbit hole. But damn am I happy that I discovered it. Was able to build it off of a weighted DDF 26240 because honestly the gen 38mm size would look like a child’s toy on my wrist. 🤣🤣🤣
So this was a watch over a year in the making. This was the first watch that made me consider getting any type of jeweled rep. Before I thought they were just sort of meh. 🫤 Then I searched high and low for someone that could not only turn a 38mm into a 41mm built on a 26240 base watch. I tried many builders but they all said it wasn’t possible to make this dial. Then I tried he who shall not be named and he said yes…but then disappeared and I never got any further than a picture of a dial that wasn’t completed. Then Popup said yes and that he could create this dial for me. Three months later this was born. After a few hurdles including a lose movement holder screw, a bad local jeweler who said he could fix it and then proceeded to screw up all of my previously aligned bezel screws, then waiting for Jaws to realign the bezel screws and give it his rose gold loving. Thank you u/Redcup-popup for building this masterpiece and thank you u/Gold Jawsplating for realigning my bezel screws and giving me some of your well goated 🐐🐐🐐 amazing rose gold plating.

Just got the video back from u/GoldJawsPlating 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I gotta say he never disappoints. This is the eighth or ninth watch that Jaws has plated for me and I’m beyond thrilled. He was also able to realign the bezel screws that my local jeweler screwed up when he tried to repair a loose screw. To say that I am over the moon excited to get this on my wrist is an understatement. I’ll update with more photos once it’s finally on my wrist.
So I have a Flan/Jaws plated bluesy from a few years ago that I still love but after my recent success with my custom Lapis OP dial, I’ve been thinking about upping my bluesy game. I’ve wanted a weighted bluesy for a while. I’d get the watch built by my dial guy Liam and then send it off to Jaws to get plating done. Thing RGF for the base watch. What are everyone’s thoughts?

So I’ve got to say that so far my first custom built dial journey has been a success. I saw this idea on a different sub and immediately fell in love with this idea. The OP is in my opinion one of the most perfect watches ever designed. It’s already my favorite configuration. Oyster bracelet and a smooth bezel. 🤣🤣🤣 It’s also a clean perfectly symmetrical dial. It just screams understated elegance. As someone that’s not afraid of unique builds, I KNEW that this was the perfect OP for me if I could find someone that could build the dial for me. I reached out to a few modders and most said they could only justify it if I could find others that wanted the dial also…they would only do it if I was ordering in bulk. Liam from ARC studios not only said yes, but for a reasonable price and was excited to help me bring the idea to life. Comms have been amazing unlike most modders and so far I am beyond excited to see this one come together. Next up is a black MOP 41mm no date sub. 🤣🤣🤣 Here we go again…but that’s the fun of this addiction.
I’ve always loved Lapis Lazuli dials that I’ve seen before on other watches. I’ve always also loved the Oyster Perpetual design. It’s the cleanest looking Rolex on the market in my opinion. No date, classic, and totally symmetrical. So…I was searching for a dial provider who could bring my dream to reality. Many people would only consider it if they were making the dial in bulk. I finally stumbled upon a builder that would make this for me. It took about 2 months from start to finish after a few small issues. I think this is going to end up being one of my favorite watches. What are everyone’s thoughts? 🤔
Everyone that knows me knows that Xing_Patrick and Popup are my two go to’s for builds. I’ve had so many built by Xing and I will always go back to him. His work is straight 🔥🔥🔥 and always perfect. This one is a VSF weighted base, white gold plated, custom dial, and custom hands with a deep crystal.
I’ve been wanting this watch as soon as they released it but no one was able to make a decent factory dial for this. The blue was always off. Xing_Patrick went above and beyond as always. So this journey of mine started the end of April when someone posted ideas for Rolex watch designs that they believed should have been made. When I saw the Lapis OP build…it was love at first sight. The Oyster Perpetual is one of my favorite watch designs of all time. It’s elegant, clean, and just a beautiful overall look. I finally found someone that was willing to help me make my dream a reality. I contacted ARC Studio on May 1st inquiring whether they could fabricate a custom dial out of Lapis. They eagerly accepted and this is the final result. This will be the first of many custom builds with them. Just wanted to see what everyone’s thoughts are.
So after a few growing pains, my lapis blue Oyster Perpetual 41mm build is finally ready to be installed in a watch. I’ve been working with a custom dial company to create something that would be truly unique. I love the OP and I also love the look of natural Lapis stone. ARC Studios has been amazing on this journey and I look forward to working on many other custom pieces with them. What are everyone’s thoughts?

I’ve been working with a new modification factory that specifically creates dials and modified watches. I asked them to create a custom Lapis Lazuli dial for an OP 41mm. This was the first one that they’ve ever made for an OP 41mm. What are everyone’s thoughts. I used ChatGPT to show what the completed watch would look like.
So my most recent Xing_Patrick build has been completed. Based on a VSF tungsten case with a custom made dial, hands, and yellow gold plated. Also trying his tungsten clasp. Can’t wait to get this one on my wrist. Hoping that Xing_Patrick will soon allow us to add him as a TD on Rep_Watch_World.
So now that QF has updated the LeMans to version 97 or whatever it’s up to now with additional weight, I’m thinking about adding one to my collection. Which color would you choose? It’s still not gen weight, but it’s better than it was. 😂😂😂

If these were made…do you think they would sell? I’m contemplating having dials made by a custom dial company. The images were created using AI but the idea is real. I’m just curious what everyone’s thoughts are. I’ve been a long time art lover and an even longer watch design lover. Be honest with me…I think. 🤣🤣🤣
