Finished Kingdom of Ash and I am not okay

-----SPOILERS FOR KOA----- ...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I finished KOA yesterday and my heart is still hollow and in disbelief. It was a great ending don't get me wrong but I feel gutted😭

Manon and her Thirteen :( what a sacrifice they made for her to LIVE!!! And the bed of white flowers? The ashes falling from the sky? I'm unwell. It's so unfair that this happened but it makes sense. Abraxos' mate just gone like that? Uncool man.... All because they wanted a better world for her and for the kingdom 😭😭😭😭

Gavriel??? No more time spent with his son😭😭😭 you've got to be joking.

I loved it though. The character arcs and story, but some characters that I loved are now gone :( all because of their courage to fight for a better tomorrow 😭😭😭

Friend takes days-weeks to reply. What do I do?

To start, my friend and I have known each other since college and we're now both in our late 20s. She teaches at a college and I work in corporate. Her schedule is more sporadic, since she teaches based on student class schedules rather than a M-F, 9-5 like mine. 3 years ago, I moved across the country to a new city, so new time zones and such, but we still kept in touch.

Well, I'll be visiting her soon (not just her, but also to explore the places I never got a chance to see when I was there) and I told her over FaceTime that we could finally hang out after all these years and she seemed pretty excited for it. But these past 3 years, even before I moved, she would always respond late (before she even became a teacher) I would send her texts like "hey, I was thinking we could go on a double date since you now have a bf, how does that sound?" Or even "wanna watch this show together over FaceTime this weekend?" Complete silence.

I would usually wait a day or two for her to reply but lately it's getting to 2-3 weeks of waiting and I'm getting quite frustrated. I would even wait until the weekend to see if she would reply to my texts but nothing. I've even followed up with her on previous plans that we wanted to make and said "hey, i asked you a couple of weeks ago about this activity we talked about doing together when I visit, can you let me know soon if you're available? Cause spots are really limited" text completely ignored. She always tells me that she's busy marking student's papers and then just forgets to text back or that she gets distracted by scrolling on Instagram or tiktok. And I'm thinking "we're almost 30, and it feels like I'm talking to someone in highschool"

I have brought it up to her before and told her how it would be nice to get a text saying "hey, I haven't forgotten about you, I'll get to your text later" and she said she'll try and do that, but she hasn't really been doing that. I completely understand having to grade student papers after work hours is daunting but not even a text back saying she'll reply when she has the chance? Even when she's off for a week from teaching since semesters are over, she still won't text me back. I don't bombard her with texts either, so I'm just left confused. It's like she doesn't really care anymore and it's just a one way street. She also still lives at home with her parents and this is her only job, so it's not like she has other responsibilities to tend to. She also teaches ESL and reuses slides from previous semesters so she knows what she's teaching and what to expect.

I'm just wondering if I should cut her more slack? I don't really know what to think. Does she still think of me as a friend? When we catch up over FaceTime, she's pretty interested in conversation so I don't think she's not interested. If she needs something, I'm always replying back and talking to her, but if I bring something up on my end, she just leaves me hanging.

Brother and SIL vent

To my brother: why do you bow down to your wife (my SIL) all the time? Why do you bend over backwards for her, stealing her independence? She knows how to drive but you insist on driving her to and from work DAILY to avoid paying for parking fees, even though she makes close to 100K/year and can afford a parking spot. You cook everything for her (which is perfectly fine) but why don't you teach her how? Why do you always come over to mom's house asking for food that your wife can pack for work? Why does our 70yr old mom have to worry about what food to cook for her MARRIED AND MOVED OUT SON AND WIFE? Why is she responsible for that on a weekly basis? Why are you responsible for bringing HER lunchbox to work when she's capable of walking out the door with it? Why do I have to stay in the basement with my dog (20lb Boston terrier) when we visit mom's house? Why can't you help your wife get over her fear of dogs? I'm willing to help, but you refuse. So now when it's convenient for you, I have to make things work when I visit? You live 2 mins away from mom, I live 3 hours away. Every time I visit you ask to lock my dog up in a bedroom cause your wife is afraid. I get having fears is a real thing, I get that. What bothers me is how you don't want her to grow out of her fear. Are you emasculated by the fact that she makes more money than you? You end up compensating for it in other ways? Aka, chores? And other responsibilities?

You coddle her and baby her and she has learned that you will always be her saving grace when things dont go her way.

To my SIL: you are a nurse. An RN, someone who is incredibly intelligent and studies hard. Why can't you follow a basic recipe? Why are you so sensitive to everything? I understand having emotions and feeling overwhelmed. I understand that. But you need to grow up. Not sure why but you cook eggs in the microwave cause you "can't" use the stovetop to boil a pot of water. If you're afraid of dogs, why don't you want to get over your fear? Why do you expect me and my sister (who also has dogs, chihuahuas mind you), to keep our dogs away from you for your sake. Our dogs do not bite, they are friendly, and we are willing to work with you to get over your fear, but you refuse. Why are you so dependent on my brother for everything? When will you grow up?

EDIT: the world does not revolve around the both of you and it will not do everything in its power to cater to you.

Curvy vs Regular: What size should I go with?

For the curvy vs regular top in this style, do I go with my regular hollister size? Or size down? Their small says my bust should fit in the curvy version, but a medium in the regular. I already have a medium in the regular and it's a little tight, so would a medium in curvy fit better? Or would that be too loose and I should go for the curvy small instead?
