Looking for Early-Stage Investors — Building an Anonymous Audio Platform Kerala, India
What if you could turn loneliness into a business — while giving people someone to talk to?
I’m building an early-stage startup around a very simple problem:
A lot of people have no one to talk to.
Think about people working in the Gulf or other countries, people living away from their families, people who are socially isolated, or simply someone who wants to have a conversation without revealing their identity.
Our platform allows users to have anonymous audio conversations with available agents. Customers recharge their account and pay based on the duration of the call, without needing to share their phone number or personal identity.
On the other side, agents earn based on the time they spend talking to customers. We are primarily looking at female agents because of the demand we see for conversations with women.
The business model is simple
A customer pays approximately ₹8 per minute.
The agent earns around ₹2–₹3 per minute.
After accounting for technology, payment processing, operational expenses and other costs, we expect to make approximately ₹2 profit per minute.
That makes the model interesting from a scalability perspective. For example, if 10 agents are actively engaged in calls for 3 hours a day, that would represent around ₹3,600 in daily profit at ₹2 profit per minute.
Of course, real-world utilization won't be 100%, so actual profitability will depend heavily on customer demand, agent utilization, retention and acquisition costs.
I’m aware of similar businesses already operating in India, including one I’ve personally come across that has scaled to 200+ agents. So this isn't just a theoretical concept — but there are still plenty of challenges around customer acquisition, retention, safety, trust, moderation and utilization.
That's exactly why I'm looking for investors who can challenge the idea, not just fund it.
I'm looking to connect with angel investors, founders, operators and early-stage investors interested in consumer internet, marketplaces, social platforms, agent economies or unconventional business models.
I'm especially interested in investors who can bring experience and networks alongside capital.
If this sounds interesting, I’m happy to share the product, numbers, unit economics, current stage and roadmap privately.
And even if you don't want to invest, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing why you think this model will or won't work.
Investors, founders and brutally honest feedback are all welcome. 👇
