How long did it take post breast-feeding to see weight loss?

I have three kids and gained around 50 pounds with each pregnancy. I lost all but 10 pounds after my first, and all but 20 after my second and third. I’m 18 months postpartum with my third, and I cannot for the life of me get this last 20 to budge. I ran into the same wall after my second baby, but ended up getting pregnant before I could figure it out.

This time around, I’ve thrown everything at it. calorie and macro tracking, and even hiring an exercise and nutrition trainer for six months, only to fluctuate the exact same 4 pounds the whole time. (and it’s not a recomp either) I completely stopped breastfeeding at the end of August.

For those of you who really clung to your fat stores postpartum, how long did it take before weight loss started feeling possible again? I just got all my labs back and everything looks great with my thyroid and blood sugar, so I’m officially stumped on what else it could be. Thanks!!

How long did it take to feel in control with food?

i’m starting this medication soon because I’m not able to lose weight by exercise and tracking calories alone. I have a compulsive urge to pick and eat anything around me.. even if it’s not that enjoyable! hoping this will help! I’d love to know how long it took you to feel in control again and how quickly you noticed weight loss. thank you!

Restorative naps with IH?

I’ve had my sleep condition for about 25 years but was just diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia this week! I thought for all these years it was narcolepsy, but my MSLT showed otherwise. My question is, do some of you have restorative naps? I’ve been a little confused because I can have a sleep attack, nap for 15 minutes, and feel refreshed after. but everything I’ve read says naps are not restorative with IH. I just wanna hear some personal experiences. Thanks!

Idiopathic Hypersomnia with cataplexy?

I went to my sleep doctor for a consultation last month and he told me he thinks I have textbook narcolepsy and mild cataplexy. I just finished my PSG and MSLT Last week and saw results In my chart today. My sleep latency was 7.8. It would’ve been lower if i wasn’t so anxious in my first nap. However, I didn’t go into REM with any of my naps. Maybe I really do have IH but I’m questioning my test because I was so anxious and felt so much pressure to fall asleep in all of my naps that I would wake up shortly after dozing off several times.
I would start dreaming and think to myself, oh good, I fell asleep” and then that thought would cause me to wake up and I would do that cycle throughout the whole nap window. I also find short 15 minute naps very refreshing and a few other symptoms that lineup better with narcolepsy. Just curious if anyone’s had a similar experience. Thanks!

then I would wake up after that

Toddler is anemic

I recently found out from our pediatrician that my 15mo daughter is anemic. I’m supplementing her iron now but I’m worried she’s still not getting enough iron rich foods because she loves nursing So much. i Feel like I should cut back nursing sessions and offer solids first but each time I try she gets very irritable and screams until I nurse her. any weaning advise? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
