I had a PS5 for about 4 years. 2 years ago, it was on firmware 7.60 which was jailbreakable at the time. Then my cousin visiting updated it and I had to wait another 2 years for a 12.xx exploit. 12.xx came this year and the literal day I decide to jailbreak, blue light of death came up. Sent it to this local microsoldering guy a month ago and today he told me he can get it to boot in safe mode but then it freezes no matter what he does, so the APU is probably dying/dead.

I can't get a new PS5 now cause of AI data centers driving up prices. I've cycled through three ones from Facebook Marketplace that were all updated to the latest firmware. I am going Insane.

The clip I remember (the full video likely originating from YouTube, but I saw this particular clip on TikTok) seeing around 2 years ago was a bunch of guys (kinda reminded me of the Sidemen looks wise; a black dude wearing glasses who kinda looked like Deji, a bunch of white dudes, brown guy or two, and I vaguely remember them rapping with a British accent). They're all sitting on a couch, but I think some were standing too.

The clip started at the lyric, "You could've been gettin' down to this sick beat." They all sing along and are VERY into it. Then they do the lyrics up until when they say "shake, shake, shake," the guys look straight at the camera nod with each shake. Then when the chorus hits they all erupt in yells at them nailing the lyrics.

Drakmor wrote a message on the Discord yesterday about the latest version not having any internal drive issues on their end (but not guaranteed to always work).

Writing to ask how it's running for everyone else. I saw some people claim SM2 works, Ratchet and Clank has some softlock issues but can be averted by pausing the menu for a bit.

My PS5 has had the blue light of death for months. Plug it in to the TV, press power on, hear the beep, see the blue lights, nothing on the TV through HDMI, 30 seconds later everything's off. Press the button again and it keeps three times but nothing.

Months ago, my dad sent it to his friend for diagnostics and he said something about the chips being busted (memory's a little fuzzy on that) and that repair costs would equal buying a new one. I'm guessing that means it's a motherboard problem.

There's a microsoldering group near me that does repairs and on their website they actually list the blue light of death as one of the fixes they do. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this blue light of death situation and if microsoldering might repair it.

I say another because they had an episode in the past about severed personalities doing your chores and hobbies with that night family episode. But the most recent one which came out today is another Severance-adjacent plot. This episode follows Rick "severing" his memories from a version of himself that can experience bliss as a simple fisherman. Then this "innie" realizes his position as a severed half of a man, gets in an argument with his "outie" a la prerecorded footage, then gets presented with a red button which will make the "outie" return, though the "innie" refuses to go into oblivion where his existence is not guaranteed.

Everything at this point is pretty much covered in Severance at this point, but where it goes after might be a sign of things to come in Season 3 maybe. The bigger piece is how Rick/Ted are clearly meant to elicit iMark/oMark in Severance.

In Severance and R&M, oMark and Rick are dudes who had good lives going for them until a tragedy that renders their significant other and hope for a family gone, so they create this "innie" in the hopes that the happiness they feel in their isolated world will seep into the outie life or that their life will mean something. The important bit is where R&M takes Ted after the innie-outie worlds collide. We see Ted adopt the mannerisms of Rick just as iMark occasionally does with oMark in Severance. We see as Ted hits the beats of Rick's life, such as the tragic loss of a loved one, the desire for revenge against those responsible, and finally the need to sever your memory for a version of yourself to fix everything bad in your life. That's something Severance has only just began touching on. iMark has hit what is arguably the first big milestone on his path to living oMark's and that's being in love. iMark with Helly and oMark with Gemma. R&M speedran Rick's first four season arc with the innie character of Ted in a single episode, and in Severance S3, we might see that sort of thing with iMark where he experiences the same beats in oMark's life, perhaps losing Helly, drowning his sorrows and alienating his loved ones. Where does this lead? Well the R&M episode had an answer. Eventually Ted wants Rick to takeover again, because he thinks Rick may have a better handle of things. He presses the red button to make Rick return and... nothing happens. Sure, Ted regained all of Rick's memories but is still the same man in the same spot. I have a feeling when iMark is in the penultimate moment where he has experienced much of the same things oMark has, there's gonna be a point where switching between the two is futile cause they are largely the same person.

It's nice to see another Severance-based Rick and Morty episode. Not their first, but it definitely is better than the first.
