Who do you think falls in love first, who falls harder, and who is more scared of the consequences?

Who do you think falls in love first, who falls harder, and who is more scared of the consequences?

I'm writing an eventual Zutara fic, but I'd like to gauge the opinion of the fandom before trying to construct the relationship myself. The title makes it pretty clear - what do you think?

How different are they as nepo babies?

I was rewatching Iron Man when it hit me: both Rumi and Tony Stark classify as nepo babies, since they both inherit massive wealth and status from their parents. However, nepotism doesn't seem to get brought up as much when it comes to Tony. I've seen lots of people say Rumi owes everything to generational wealth and genes.

I'm probably pro-Rumi biased, but I really wonder: isn't Tony "guilty" of the same luck as her?

  • They're both practically born millionaires.
  • Tony was sent to an elite boarding school, then graduated MIT. Rumi was probably trained by Celine and tons of other coaches, masters, and instructors in music, singing, dancing, martial arts, etiquette, etc.
  • Tony has genius-level intellect just like his dad. Rumi has a "magical" hunter voice like her mom.

The only notable difference I see is that Rumi's specialty is performing arts, while Tony is into STEM. Is that reason enough to say she had it easier? Or that he was more self-made than her?

What would you say to this person?

Currently having a debate with a Kataanger. I asked them to share their opinion on the moment Zuko takes lightning for Katara. Previously, they had asked me if Katara complimenting Toph when they get their makeup done is a moment of romantic chemistry. I said that if the show went with Katara/Toph, that moment would be excellent setup for their relationship.

I was honestly struggling to answer. I did eventuality, but I'm curious what you would say.

I'm an Aang hater. Would you like to RESPECTFULLY debate me?

I'm probably getting terribly downvoted, but I'll bear it. My goal is to get a more well-rounded view on Aang by interacting with the wisdom of the opposide-minded (yeah, I listened to Uncle Iroh's elements talk). By the way, I am a Zutara shipper. If you'd like to use that against me, do so, but please remain argumentative and respectful.

I'm not trying to spread hate and if you want to leave a comment, I will leave the nicest and most argumentative reply I can. Also, I ask that you also try to be nice. Thank you.

Here are my hot takes on Aang that you can debate me on if you want:

  • Aang's terrible behavior in the episode "The Desert" is over-excused by the fandom.
  • Aang handled Katara's feelings in the episode "The Southern Raiders" badly.
  • Aang's win over Ozai in the finale was pure luck to the point where I'd argue he doesn't deserve it.
  • Aang gets lucky so many times in the series that his successful Avatar journey depends on a string of lucky dice rolls.
  • In the episode "Bato of the Water Tribe" Aang's emotions are understandable, but his fans hate on Bato too much.
  • In the same episode, Katara and Sokka's reactions to Aang stealing their dad's message are based.
  • Aang has definitely been the reason for at least one person's death directly yet the plot ignores that for his betterment.
  • Aang is wrong for kissing Katara multiple times without her consent.
  • Aang's aversion to killing Ozai could have been an incredible concept if it didn't rely on the lion turtle ex machina.
  • Aang's relationship with Katara could have been a mutually-respectful friendship, teaching young boys that pursuing a girl whose feelings don't seem to be reciprocated might not end well, and that rejection is alright.

Tiny detail I just saw: in the train scene there's a subtle reference to the oranges in "The Godfather"

The oranges in "The Godfather" are famously used to foreshadow violence, danger, or death.

Looking for beta readers for a new forced marriage Zutara fic + Azula redemption arc

If you choose to read it, thank you. It's just chapter one, less than 1000 words.

Not sure if I'll continue it. Really depends on the feedback I receive. I've enabled comments for all users under the fic, so you can comment if you like it or not (engagement is appreciated).

Thank you again.

Found a nice video about Katara

Not explicitly Pro-Zutara but I think it makes a good about Katara being in a kind of pre-marriage age. Which makes the Zuko x Katara forced marriage fics more acceptable, I think.
