Looking at condo townhomes in Kanata, any experiences/perspective?

My fiancee and I are in our mid 20s and looking to purchase our first home and have been looking at the 350k-400k condo townhome segment in Kanata (Katimavik mainly).

The fees are high (500/month), but the actual monthly outflow would be very reasonable with our salaries. I'm wondering if these actually represent a wise choice for us entering the market, or if it's always better to keep renting + saving for a larger downpayment to put towards a freehold even if it would take us maybe 3 more years to get there.

We rent at 2300 in Westboro right now and I would prefer to start building equity.

Interested in other's perspectives.

Am I missing something about the warden?

Why would you ever actually buy this over the vandal?

The TTK for body shots 3 -> 4 isn't going to be dramatically different factoring the delta between fire rates.

In pro/higher ranks you prioritize headshots anyways so where does this thing actually shine besides long sightlines in low elo where body shots are more prevalent?

Curious on if I'm missing something.

Looking for commanders that reward creativity without devolving into combo

Hello!

Struggling to put it exactly into words, but for instance my current main deck is Celes reanimator with a focus on getting a ton of cards that can be used to solve various problems my opponents might throw at me.

Anyone have any commanders they recommend?

I've looked at [[Tayam]] more than a few times, but I'm not exactly sure how you would play him non-combo B3 without making serious concessions to what he wants to do.

Anyone else have to write off their car today? Feel like we should get a tally going.

Seriously, what a crazy day.

In a weird spot, currently an SDET asked to help with full-stack work post restructuring.

Hello!

I've been asked to help out with some bugs/tickets after our team went from 6 -> 3 overnight. We lost 3 full-stack devs and have one intermediate, one senior, and myself left on the team.

Because I started doing full-stack and then was given the option to either be unemployed or do SDET work, I took the SDET position.

I actually don't hate it, and have gotten to work on a lot of DevOps/Platform/Tools work as well, but I also know how "SDET" looks on a resume.

An old mentor told me I should probably take this as a gift and run with it, slowly transitioning my focus toward doing FS stuff, but there is a small problem that makes me hesitant.

I will inevitably be leaning on AI to do a lot of this work, while I am strong in the areas I'm strong in, my frontend expertise is like a 3/10 and my backend purely foundational.

I worry that if I go to interview after switching roles, I will be so stunted in my ability to actually develop without it going forwards.

Curious on others thoughts.

Management doesn't care about determinism anymore within our systems

I work as an SDET and have seen a number of AI tools cross my desk heralded as the second coming of christ.

A staggering number of these tools are around "automated regression". Giving some kind of prompt to an agent to reason with an image, or data, and have it answer questions. Has something changed? Has something broken? Do you see X?

To me, determinism is the single most important thing about doing regression. If I can't guarantee my inputs and outputs, what the hell is the point?

But, slap AI on the tool and management will tell you quickly, "use it".
