I'm so tired of being forced to accept disgusting kinks being sneaked into stuff accessible to minors just to not offend anyone
I posted a *barely disguised fetish* meme on a Sims sub about a modder who has been posting blatant disgusting kink content on the platforms Patreon and Curseforge and blending that amongst their normal SFW mods. It didn't seem to matter that these platforms are avaliable to literal children and the game is rated 12+/teen when they could have easily posted those things on an adult modding website. Letting alone the point that stuff like that just isn't healthy to begin with.
I wasn't calling for the deletion of or "censoring" the mod, just a satire post mocking the ridiculousness of the mods. I am a firm believer that if you post something weird in public that you need to acknowledge it can and will be mocked.
Every single comment was defending it and calling me a kinkshamer or *bullying people for their interests* and even telling me I must be into the kinks to post about it. You literally cannot even make a joke about this anymore, you MUST never "bully" these people. Merely pointing out someone's blatant fetish in a stupid and lighthearted way was a bannable offense that got me blocked by a mod.
Yet they say we are the easily offended ones with a victim mentality? No, I won't validate your kinks and we should have the freedom to laugh at the absurdity of them.
The point was entirely missed, the fact was that someone was sneaking in blatant piss, shit and diaper fetish and tons of kink content on platforms accessible by children rather than hosting it on an adults only 18+ space. They refused to acknowledge there is a very clear difference between the two. These people actually want zero boundaries, zero warnings, zero shame for anything at all and I think we rly do be needing to bring back shame and cringe at these people. It might be controversial but I think in situations like these a lil *bullying* isn't so bad.
At the time I posted it I was tipsy after work and totally unbothered and just mocking the mods for the dumb degeneracy they were but now I'm sober I'm actually pretty dumbfounded at how stupid the "anything goes, don't shame anyone" hivemind is.
No kids shouldn't have to be exposed to your gross ass disgusting kink mods by the same creator when trying to download your fucking high school mod. I'm aware that there are much worse mods out there but you absolutely shouldn't be able to find them on sites minors can access.
This really gives the same energy as the kid's shows that feature blatant fetish content (the origins of that meme that flew over all their heads.) but people dismiss it as "it's just kids shows!" but then the exact same people will say *don't kinkshame!* You can't have it both ways. Is it okay for minors or not? Because minors shouldn't be exposed to kink content and that shouldn't be contested. Porn culture has completely rotted people's brains. I actually think it's gone so far the other way that you're more likely to get shamed if you DON'T have kinks rather than do.
On the contrary, I found it interesting how the people who were attacking the post all acknowledged it was kink content, so then surely if that's the case it shouldn't be hosted on a normal website, especially Curseforge that's endorsed by EA? But they were too focused on getting furious and reporting satire.
They said "don't like, don't look" so like, does that logic not apply to seeing a *kinkshaming* meme you're offended by?
The fact that the previous antikink subreddit was removed is appauling and we have genuinely reached a point where you cannot criticise, even in jest, gross weird cringe kinks without being reported for hate speech and banned. For a community that calls the opposition authoritarian it's so ironic.
I just can't get my head around people's logic and that this is the hill they are willing to die on.
