Got hit by a car on my e-bike

Absolutely brutal. Just thankful to be alive. I hit the hell out of my head on the concrete. All blacked out Altima took a spontaneous hard right at a green light while I’m in the protected bike lane, didn’t check their perimeter and just laid me out. Happened so fast. They slowed down I think to make sure I wasn’t dead and after an unhoused man helped me up they sped off in a way that felt like a sigh of relief. Like oh we’re clear, go.

Happened around 1pm there wasn’t much foot traffic or vehicle traffic so really the only person who witnessed it was the man who helped me. He realigned my bike chain and made sure I was okay to continue riding my bike. So thankful. I’m just glad I’m alive.

I’m just making this post as a PSA, you can do everything right and still end up nearly dead. I was seeing stars I hit my head so hard on the concrete. Just grateful to be okay. I don’t even care about justice or finding out who they are I’m just so thankful that I walked out of this alive. And they should thank their lucky stars they didn’t murder someone on a Tuesday afternoon.

Any comment from Splash House?

I know a few people here posted that they reached out to Splash House about the many inconveniences and concerns from W1 that will most likely affect W2 as well. Has anyone heard anything back from them?

My experience was fine, I just wish they would have made an official email about the changes. Not an Instagram post. I had to talk to so many different event staff and hotel staff to get a straight answer and they kept redirecting me to their IG.

What kind of official notice of changes is that?! I got turned away from Friday air museum for not having a clear bag. Had to go back and empty pockets and snack a fanny pack in under my skirt. Next day I door dashed a clear bag 🙄. An email would’ve been perfectly fine and yet they choose to announce only via Instagram. SMH.

Taliyah Joelle

She is literally half her size. Her glutes are completely gone. When will influencers starts being honest about their peptide use? She obviously has done a cycle of peptides of some sort or is still using them. This is insane, she looks like she lost half of her body weight.

Malnourished Kitten

Hello! This malnourished kitten has appointed me as her guardian but unfortunately I don’t have a spare room to keep her in while receiving vet treatment. I have time, money, and heart just no space.

She’s incredibly friendly, very chatty, and allows me to pick her up and handle her. Problem is I have two cats at home and don’t want to spread anything to them.

Any advice? I can take her to the vet but I don’t know what to do after that. I know her hiding spot and she follows me incessantly whenever I leave our station at work. She’s incredibly thin and desires affection. I know shelters are impacted right now :/

What’s a viable solution to the drug, trauma, and chronic homelessness epidemic in Los Angeles?

I want qualify by saying I used to be a homeless addict in SoCal and I’ve worked in social work for the last 5 years. I can confidently say that 80-90% of my caseload refuses housing, psychiatric care, and/or medical assistance.

When I was homeless from 16-21 I had so much help available to me. When I decided to get clean I had access to nonprofits, grants, and additional income that essentially put me at the same level as my peers who have lead normal lives.

In California we have so many resources, money, and assistance available to those in need and yet we still face a chronic epidemic of mental health, homelessness, and financial insecurity.

What would be a real workable solution to this?!

And not people who did care taking for strays that never leave, but a cat you specifically let free roam and come back home. I see so many instances of people surprised their cat returns with injuries, poisoning, etc. what’s the benefit?
