23F buying my first scooter – Thinking of the new Suzuki Access 125. Need advice!

Hi everyone!

I’m 23F and planning to buy my first scooter with my own money.

I’ve ridden an Activa , Fascino, and currently a Suzuki Access, so riding isn’t new to me. But I’ve never actually been involved in buying or maintaining a scooter that was always handled by my father and brother.

I’m leaning towards the new Suzuki Access 125 because it’s been the most comfortable scooter for me so far. My commute is in Mumbai, and I’m looking for something reliable, comfortable, and easy to maintain.

I have a few questions:

  1. Is the new Access 125 still the best option, or should I consider something else?
  2. Which variant offers the best value?
  3. How much should I budget for maintenance (monthly/yearly)?
  4. What routine maintenance should I never skip?
  5. Any common issues with the latest Access?
  6. What discounts can I realistically negotiate?
  7. Which accessories are worth buying from the dealership?
  8. Any tips for a first-time scooter owner insurance, registration, or anything else I should know?

Is anyone else frustrated with Nykaa’s Platinum membership benefits?

I have been a Platinum member for over 2 years and place orders almost every month sometimes even 2–3 orders a month.

Earlier, I asked customer care about my birthday gift and they told me I’d receive it after 20 days. That never happened.

On top of that, for my last 5–6 orders, I haven’t received any reward points either. When I contacted customer support again, they told me that Pro members don’t get reward points or birthday gifts.

What confuses me is that my cousin, who is only a Gold member, recently received a pre-birthday gift.

So what’s the incentive for being a loyal customer and placing orders regularly? Is the expectation that we should order less often? It honestly feels like loyalty isn’t being valued.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or am I missing something about how their rewards work?
