So Gen 2 (2003) Strawberry won. However, when i made the poll, i forgot that in generation two there was a redesign of the characters. This also extended to their personalities; think how much Angel Cake and Peppermint changed. I like to think of it as Gen 2 and Gen 2.5, like what happened with Gen 3 My Little Pony. So in fairness, i want to create a sub-poll before moving on to Big Poll II Orange Blossom. So please vote for which Generation 2 Strawberry you like more, Gen 2 or Gen 2.5

Which generation Strawberry herself is the best? What i mean is Strawberry the character herself, not the series. For example, you might say the gen 4 Strawberry character is the best in the franchise, but feel the gen 3 series, Berry Bitty Adventures, is the best in the franchise.

After watching a ton of episodes, as far as i can tell, a Strawberry Shortcake berry girl/boy name is either:

Sweet fruit or "sweet" planet (like mint).

And/Or

Sweet food or sweet drink.

And one or all of those are the favorite(s) of that character. For example:
My Strawberry Shortcake persona name is Kiwi Parfait (yellow kiwi); because kiwi is my favorite fruit and parfaits my favorite dessert. And her scent is yellow kiwi.

The best part about these headcanons is they make logical sense.

As per the original definition of Head Canon, they are what i think actually is or has happened in the series based on what i’ve seen and heard in the episodes. I want to stress that these headcanons are not joking or hyperbole; they’re my actual beliefs for the worlds and characters based solely in logic and using our universe’s history and laws of physics. Having stated this extraordinary preface, let us begin.

Generation Two, 2003.

First out of the gate, obviously this world is not Earth. None of the land masses are Earth’s and it seems everything is edible and there’s even talking animals. So the logical conclusion is, this is another planet. But then who are these human looking girls and where did they come from?

My idea is they are human, just bioengineered. Lemme explain; how old are you right now? If you’re truly an adult, then you almost certainly want to be a kid again. Nearly all adults do. Well… what if you could? for real though, would you? Like if you could shrink and reverse age your body but keep your adult intelligence with no negative side effects, would you do it? Probably NOT right? Because then people would take advantage of and abuse you, wouldn’t they? YES! They would. You might even end up dead eventually. But damn it! You still want to be a kid again, living a carefree cute life! So how to do this and be safe? Firstly this soon will not be science fiction. With stem cell 3D printing paired with DNA insertion, you can age in reverse. Pair this with enzyme reprogramming and control, and you can reshape your body into anything that isn’t against the laws of physics! But this doesn’t solve the potential abuse and mistreatment by adults problem. That’s next.

So i’ve laid out that this is the near future. Right now, deep space travel is being worked on and solved and the reality of artificial gravity and suspended animation is getting closer. So you want to be a kid again but not abused by adults? Then get away from the adults! So far, as hard as NASA and the other space agencies have looked and the many millions of dollars spent on it, there still has not been an official announcement of life of any kind on another planet (or moon for that matter). So although astronomically improbable (see what i did there 😉) it is technically not against the laws of physics for there to not be life of any kind anywhere else in the universe. So to get away from Earth’s abusive adults; colonize another planet! A planet for people who want to be kids again and with other kids only. Ok great, but kids are kinda small and weak. So how will you survive on this other planet?

Well with technology advanced enough to travel to another planet, we’ll also have highly advanced robotics, we kinda already do. So you can use such technology to terraform the planet into whatever you’d want it to be and look like. And with advanced bioengineering, create whatever animals and plants you wanted. Hell, you could make Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Room, but worldwide! Or The Land of Sweets. So all these things are what i believe has happened in generation two (2003) of Strawberry Shortcake.

Basically, generation two of Strawberry Shortcake takes place in the immediate future of our universe. A group of people wanted to be kids again, but safely. So they decide to colonize a planet with no life. Using robotic preformed terraforming and bioengineering, they transform the lifeless planet into a child’s dreamland where the can fulfil their kid fantasies. They bioengineered themselves into kids but kept their adult brains, so that’s why in the show you see they have large heads for a child, because it’s an adult brain. But they want to be kids, so even though it’s an adult brain, they act kinda like kids. And do all the things kids do, including play at “what you want to be when you grow up.” Kids also like playing at having careers. And also playing hero…

Ok this basically makes sense, except, yeah this doesn’t exactly explain the purple guy and his sour sister. Well, and follow me on this, they’re actual kids! Think about it, what is the number one thing every actual kid wants? To be a grown up! Wehehel, you gots the tech now, so, why not? So what happened is, other people learned about this planet and wanted to join. But the number one rule is kids only! So other adults transformed themselves into kids and moved to the planet. And some actual kids from earth wanted to be adults, but they still have their kid brains. That’s why Purple Pie Man and Sour Grapes are so dumb and incompetent, because they’re actually kids trying to be adults. And kids are selfish and mean. But ultimately harmless (for the most part). So Strawberry and her friends play along with them and entertain themselves with the “adults’” “villainy.” In this way, Strawberry and her friends get to play victim and heroine every now and then and the “adults” get to be mean to the (grownups) every now and then, perfect! All these headcanons explain the absence of Strawberry and her friends’ parents. And why seeming ten-year-olds own businesses; host farm festivals; and drive stick, while towing a trailer! And acting way too mature and self-controlled for their age.

So this is the way this world functions. Robots like Ginger Snap’s and Caramel Corn’s take care of the needs like food production and building maintenance and Strawberry and her friends can play make believe however and as much as they wish. A utopian world set in the immediate future. And it’s strawberry scented to boot! -(sorry couldn’t resist the Strawberry scented XP)

P.S.
What about the magic in this world, like the fairies, Old Man Winter, and those sentient crying clouds? Simple, all bioengineering and bioroids. It truly is amazing what you can do with carbon atoms and full control over enzymes.

And now for Generation Three, 2009.

Basically same idea. Different planet than Earth, bioengineering, and bioroids. But on this planet the people wanted to be REALLY small. Like the size of strawberries? Or maybe they made the plants huge? Idk, it’s weird. They love being bitty. Anyways, on this world, the Berrykins are sentient bioroids programed to do what the robots on the generation two world do. Produce and take care of basic needs. But here they also act sort of like companion bots. So they’re very lifelike. And so, many of the animals are more like regular animals, non-talking.

By the way, all of this G3 headcanon is based on the TV show. The IDW comics take the show into very different directions and retcon a lot of things, especially their personalities. Personally i think it’s a massive improvement. And with minor adjustment, these headcanons still work.

So what do you think? Sounds fantastical, but also makes sense right? I tried to explain the big things without getting bogged down in minute detail. I don’t have a problem with minute detail and would like to go deep into it if you want in the comments. Ask me about specific events/scenes etc. in the shows. I think these headcanons can explain anything that happened in the two series. I especially want to know if these headcanons have changed the way you look at G2 and G3 of the franchise. So Lola and i were not the same age as in the show, we were like a good few years older. We were in a big city, i have no idea, maybe Great Lakes City probably?, idk. It was nighttime and it was winter. And for some reason i (as Lana) was wearing almost nothing, just a pair of thin shorts. Which, let’s be honest, Lana totally would do something dumb like that in winter. And for some reason i was sitting with my face really close to a fire hydrant opening. And for some reason the fire hydrant had a wheel valve on the opening part, which is highly unusual because people would totally abuse that. Anyways, Lola was a few yards away at, i feel like she was at, some kind of control panel somehow linked to the fire hydrant? I- i don’t know, this is all so weird! So the idea i was thinking in the dream was i’ll open the fire hydrant valve and spray the fire hydrant water in my face and the water spray will freeze in place and on my face. What the f***?! I don’t know! So now i’m sitting on the ground leaning back a little bit with the fire hydrant between my open legs and my face right in front of the opening. So i start opening the wheel valve, but slowly. And the water comes out with a little force. It sprays my face some. And so i open it more, and it has a little more force. And then for some reason i think to myself, even it’s like negative degrees, with the force of a fire hydrant, that water’s not gonna freeze. Which IRL is very true. So i guess i admit defeat and close the valve? And then i think, tap water isn’t that great, but because it’s a big city (like NY) maybe this water is good? Anyways, then Lola comes over and says, and i swear this is what she said: “Can we go now please, doing sexual stuff in public makes me feel icky.” I’m not trying to be lewd!! this is what she actually said in the dream! And yes she was wearing her normal pageant dress! So in my defeat i was like “Yeah, whatever let’s go.” And we start walking off and then i wake up.

I was like WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! WHY WAS I LANA?! WHY WAS I ALMOST NAKED?! WHAT THE HELL WAS I DOING?! WHY WOULD I WANT TO FREEZE MY FACE?! I have to post this!!! Oh my gosh guys why did i have this WEIRD ass dream?! I guess for Lana, everything makes sense except for what Lola said at the end. I have no idea why she said that! I don’t know! Nothing else in the dream was lewd or NSFW except that line. This was extremely random. I can’t remember the last time i had any kind of Loud House related dream. I mean i haven’t even watched any episodes since the last new one finally got released in the states! I’m so weirded out right now. Got any advice on this weirdness?
