First attempt at channel setting went ace thanks to TheNomadicArtist’s tutorial. 12/10 would recommend.
Me tryin’ to figure out filling in negative space and adding multiple elements to a frame. It’s…a learning process.
Not sure if I like the quartz accents - think I’ll work on adding more coils and try my hand at filigree for the next one. But not with the precious labradorite - I use the jaspers as guinea pigs. They’re more expendable.
Trial and error, rinse and repeat…
I do so love the greens…indeed I do. 💚
Sea sediment jasper in bare copper. Might oxidize later idk 😆
My knees do go weak for the greens 💚
Sea sediment jasper in copper. Still deciding if I’m going to oxidize or not :)
This piece is pretty special - a good friend of mine (who is an amazing rockhound) made this cab by hand and gifted to me for wrapping. It’s such a unique stone - anyone have an idea as to the ID?
Went a bit off-script with this one and honestly I have no idea what’s going on here. Just a lot of stuff on this poor 40mm rose quartz. It’s being suffocated. 🤣
Just a l'il 14mm blue aventurine piece I finished this morning.
Latest piece: tiger’s eye in copper. Still trying to get the hang of chasing hammers. 😆
Def gotta work on my filing skills 😆
Latest piece: tiger’s eye in copper. Still trying to get the hang of chasing hammers. 😆
Something tells me good filing technique helps with keeping the edges clean so def gonna work on that.
Small victory: just sold my first piece :)
I wasn’t planning on selling just yet, as I’ve only been wire wrapping since March and want to get a nice collection together before building out my website, but one of my twitter followers was very insistent. 😆
I’m still new to this, so just personalizing the packaging by hand as well as including prints of my illustration work.
So yeah I’m having fun. :)
Just finished up what I’m calling the “Forbidden m&m Series”. 😆
Something about making coils is so meditative. Also been having fun making these l’il videos. :)
Amethyst in bare copper and silver filled wire.
