Better adaptation?

What would you guys like to see in a better, more book-accurate adaptation of Guardians of Ga'Hoole than the 2010 movie was? I imagine beautifully hand-drawn a 2D animated series would work well. I am not a fan of how much the movie deviates from the books. It might as well be a completely different story. By the way, I am halfway through the Shattering right now, so please don't spoil anything further than that for me

Young Lightscribe Vera (alternative: Rising Order Vera) Lady Vera younger version skin and weapons concept

Since Ulgrim is old and he has a skin that shows what he looked like when he was younger, I thought, what if Lady Vera also had a "younger skin?" Especially since her lore does talk about her younger days. I call it either "Young Lightscribe Vera" or "Rising Order Vera" since she would look like this during the early days of the Order of the Exalted Lion. Her scythe looks like a quill because she inscribes divine light sigils and I thought that could have been the magical tool she trained with to inscribe them. I think we should have more canon skins that show different points in the legends' lives. Let me know what you think and if there are any others I should draw.

Super Meat Boy original on Steam lagging a bunch.

My PC is relatively strong and can handle most games that I play. I certainly wouldn't expect this game to lag at all. But I just installed the original Super Meat Boy (my first time ever playing any of the games, wish me luck) and it is lagging a bunch. I try turning down the resolution down and it doesn't help. I tried this guide but it doesn't reduce lag either. I know this is a game sub and not a PC optimization sub or anything, but I'm not sure where else to ask, especially since no other game does this. Please help

Looking to make my very first game. Please guide me

All of my life I have dreamed of making games and I have a virtually unlimited amount of ideas written and drawn in dozens of filled notebooks. This summer I am going to finally take the step and commit to really learning game development so I can begin to fulfill my dream of actually creating all the games I have imagined as real playable games. I finally feel like I have enough time, resources, and money to commit to it. All I need now is dedication and I am going to try my hardest no matter how difficult it is. Now I just need advice on where to start because I have no idea.

I remember watching some videos a long time ago and they all said to start learning a game engine and they gave different suggestions on which ones to try depending on whether you value them being free, or more advanced, or what have you. Should I choose a game engine and start learning it? Which one would you guys with experience advise? Also something I've never understood is, to build a game, do you code it or build it in an engine? What's the difference? Do you necessarily need coding to build a game? If you can code, do you not need to know an engine? I'm sure you need both, but I'd like it explained more cohesively to me.

Another thing to note is that I'd rather go straight into whatever I'll actually be using. I really don't want to start by learning Scratch or whatever, unless you guys tell me it's necessary; I'll probably listen to you because I know you're experienced. But I'd really like to sort of skip the tutorial and go straight in. I'm determined to succeed and, although someone might end up telling me this is misguided, I'd like to be on the road to making games as soon as possible. I don't want a long roadmap of tedious education with some distant possibility of making a game in the far future. I want to learn what I need to start as fast as possible and jump right in, learning the rest through experience along the way. Like I said, perhaps I have no idea what I'm talking about, so let me know if that's the case. All I'm saying is I've been waiting all my life to take the leap and try to actually create a video game so I don't want to wait any longer.

What kind of game do I want to create? Well my first idea that I'd love to start is a 2D platformer style survival game. It takes place in a wilderness but it has fictional elements added. Your classic Minecraft, Terraria, etc. I have tons of concepts and bosses and content drawn for this game and it's probably one of the most fleshed out concepts I've ever created and from my layman's understanding of game development, it seems like it would be relatively simple to program, being a 2D platformer and all. I have sort of an idea that I can start it as my first project and slowly add to it over the following years until it's a publishable game, but if that's infeasible let me know. I don't know if it's wise to start it with plans to build on it when I am inexperienced because maybe the foundation that I build will be faulty and things I try to add later won't work. But I have no idea how it actually works. That's why I'm here asking for help.

Please leave your best advise for me below. Tell me exactly how you would advise me to get started, and what you wish you knew before you started. Thank you!

I am completely convinced that number transfer pins do not exist.

Trying to transfer to T Mobile. T Mobile store guy told me to get my account number and my number transfer pin. I tried to do it then and there in the store, but couldn't access my account and got locked out due to stupid two-step verification crap. Later after leaving I reset my password and got into my account. It's borderline impossible to even find the words "number transfer pin" anywhere. But after asking the ATT chat bot, it gave me instructions to a nonexistent directory. Something along the lines of account profile > manage /remove account > settings > transfer number. There is no settings option on that page. Tried the same thing on computer. Still doesn't exist. Messed with the bot a bit but it kept repeating the same lie. Found this page. It states the same instructions the chat bot did. You can read them and try them yourself; these directories DO NOT EXIST. The OFFICIAL AT&T SOURCE LISTS COMPLETE NONSENSE ABOUT ITS OWN WEBSITE. I tried calling *7678 and it tells me my phone cannot receive text messages which is a lie. Not to mention AT&T just sent me text messages with verification codes several times in the last hour so yeah right.

I'm at the end of the line. Going in circles. Trying every method on both mobile and desktop and nothing works. The hotline is broken. The official AT&T sources straight up lie to you. Account transfer number doesn't exist.

If anyone knows what to do, please tell me so I can move off this terrible service ASAP.

Here is a post of someone experiencing the exact same thing as I am.
