Black Noir causes more lasting damage than Homelander (Finale Spoilers)

Someone just pointed it out on facebook and this isn't to dismiss anything that Homelander does or attempts to do during the run time of the series and especially the final season.

By the single punch to the pipeline:

  • Intentionally or not causes the genocide of an ecosystem
  • He accidentallygets Deep killed because of above
  • Causes a lot of public unrest due to both the effects on oil prices and environment damage.
  • Puts a PR disaster on both Vought & The Goverment's lap as both signed off that won't just go away once he died.

And aside from that due to his connection with Sage during season 4: It's very possible him choosing to side with Homelander caused her to wish to leave in the final season, allowing her to do everything she ends up doing to help the boys. That last part comes from the fact she didn't want to lobotomy herself around him, suggesting if he showed openness to being aligned with her they'd potentially been a third prong in the Homelander V Boys Conflict. .

But regardless, it's humorous to think in the end it was the guy who was pissed his opportunity to complete a life goal was ruined, that he ended up causing more damage then the whiny baby with a god complex. Mainly because, I don't think that was intentional and that makes it funnier.
