Where do you think Dragon Age should go?
Where do you think the series go from here? What are your ideas for the next game? If you could change anything about the story, what would it be?
Plot Assists Summoning Science Mod - Fourth Summon
I decided to download a recorder to showcase my mods to help people better preview them.
Plot Assists Summoning Science Mod (the Fourth Summon) from Pet Peeves QoL Patch (Plot and Script Updates). Note the plot assists in the top right mini map.
This is the only game with good cities
Kirkwall in Dragon Age 2 has a lazy and cheap layout (only a couple of interiors and they're all so small and copy-pasted), also there's very little side content besides the main questline (and that little side content is just boring fetch quests). Val Royeaux in Dragon Age Inquisition is just a small market with no reason to return there after like the first quest. The cities in the purple game might as well be Fortnite/Overwatch maps with the way they're designed.
Dragon Age City design peaked in Origins with Denerim and Orzammar. These cities actually feel lived-in, with many interiors, notable NPCs, and interesting side quests that flesh out the world-building. And Denerim especially feels so huge, with all those back alley encounters that make traveling through the city feel so memorable and dangerous.
Steam deal.
Steam is running a great deal on this game and I really wanna pull the trigger but I hear bad things about it and most people say the GOG version is ideal. Can anyone give me some input on how the steam version has treated them? It’s like 3 bucks, ya can’t beat it.
I miss my Wardens so much 😭

For those who don't "Skip the Fade"
I usually don't post my mods here (I don't know if they are welcome or not, I honestly never know with reddit).
But I made some QoL mods here. The image is a Fade Essence Tracker mod as I do not skip the fade, but I do have a QoL easier Fade mod here too. But I actually think no one else has made these specific mods before so I thought I'd share.
What darkspawn would you hate to encounter as a Grey Warden?
I hate fighting The Children! I hate looking at them, I hate the sounds they make, I hate everything about them. I don’t want to be near them!
If I was a Grey Warden and my commander is sending me on a mission where there is a 1% chance there might be Children, I am leaving the order.
My Cousland warden handing out codenames to the party
I would rather play the first game than the last one, even if someone offered to pay me $10,000
I would rather play the first game than the last one, even if someone offered to pay me $10,000. That's how much better the first game is. I would consider playing the last one if someone offered to pay me $100,000 though.
Is it worth starting the Dragon Age series for the first time in 2026? ( old games)
Hi everyone,
I've never played any of the Dragon Age games before, and since the entire series is currently on sale, I'm thinking about buying them all.
My biggest concern is that the first games are pretty old by today's standards. I'm worried that the gameplay, graphics, or overall experience might feel too outdated and make it hard to enjoy.
Do the older games still hold up in 2026 for someone with no nostalgia for the series? Or would they feel too dated for a first-time player?
I'd love to hear your honest opinions, especially from people who played the series for the first time recently. Thanks!
trying to spawn in duncans shield gift as ive lost mine and didnt know i never gave it to alistar
ive tried runscript additem gen_im_gift_duncan_shield but it fails
So i remember seeing the black city in the fade quest for the first time ...
I loved DAO for the lore and waited the newer games to dig much and much deeper into the lore but somehow i feel like things have changed for this storyline in Veilguard a lot. What do you think of the Maker? The Golden city? Dark spawn? Elven gods?
I have nobody to talk with about this topic 🥹
Happy Ferelden Independence day!

Ending Slides Error Regarding Alistair
Just finished my third playthrough ever of this game and this go around I decided to marry Alistair and Anora, then ultimately have Alistair sacrifice himself to kill the Archdemon. I felt this was thematic in my playthrough as he was the eldest living warden and was always making sacrifices for the good of his country. Also kind of felt like the ultimate out for Alistair after he didn’t really want to go through with the wedding or becoming king.
Problem is the game doesn’t seem to like this ending and the end card slides and some of the dialogue with Anora act as if Alistair is still alive. Other characters mentioned his passing, but the game was definitely telling a bit of a confusing conflicting narrative right at the end. Did the developers not anticipate my choice or did I just encounter some sort of weird bug?
Just finished DA:O for the first time🫡
Like the title suggests, a few hours ago the credits rolled on DA:O for the first time.
I played it a bit back in 2010 but never finished it, barely remembered any of it but for some reason, it still had a bit of nostalgia. Whatever I did back in the day, I must have made it to the Tower because I had vague fleeting memories of running round there.
Anyway, what a ride. Tactically deep, narratively incredible. So much choice, so much variety.
I played a City Elf, Rogue. Rolled with Morrigan, Sten, & Alistair most of the time. I fall on the "Fuck the Fade" side of things but I appreciate what they tried to do!
>!I sided with Prince Bhelen, put Alistair on the throne, killed Loghain, destroyed the Anvil!<
I had a blast, gonna give it a few days before diving into the expansion!
clink *insufficient skill*
Been really enjoying replaying this wonderful game. It’s been years and now I can finally mod it.
Human mage: Zeniba is her name. Concentrating on spirit healer and shape shifter for the first time. Romancing Alistair.
