Medical Disaster

So I’ve never had a dog this much of a mess. She has a liver shunt, her eyelids had to have surgery because they were growing inwards. She doesn’t eat a lot, very picky. Her spay and gastropexy have to be done by the best in the state and will cost me 4k. Insurance said they’ll cover $250. Laughed in their face.

I’m 23 and adopted her 2 years ago after i graduated college. Her deformities are rare and spontaneous, no health testing saw it coming. I’m at a loss. She costs me thousands a year and I can’t move out of my parents house because of her. I feel so alone. I got her brother for free from the same breeder and he is perfectly healthy. All 16(?) of her siblings have 0 issues. Her parents have zero issues.

Giving her up is NOT an option. She would actually die without me. I just would like some advice on what people with XXL dog breeds with medical issues do. What insurances will cover pre existing medical conditions? Is my only option to win the lottery? I love her so much but I’m at a loss with her. I’ve been paying $100/month to cover her and basically nothing has been refunded.

I’m not asking for medical advice. I’ve been to specialists for all her conditions. I’m just asking for insurance options, how others who go through the same things got through, and just seeing if there’s anyone out there who relate. Her condition is so rare they have zero information on mortality rates and how it affects them long term.

So I’m adding nizarol shampoo to my routine because none of my congestion has budged. I currently use clindamycin lotion 1% and .025 retaining. I know it’s supposed to be drying so I was wondering what I should do at night.

I am planning to use it maybe every other day as a face mask. Should I use tret every other night with that? I’ve seen some people say to use it in the morning but I’m scared I won’t have time every morning.

I also ordered salycic acid to use because this congestion is just not it. Would it be safer to use that after the shampoo face mask instead of tretinoin?

This is with tinted sunscreen on. I had clear skin in March, then on March 11th i started getting congestion. I tried the anua oil cleanser and all hell broke loose.

I didn’t know it was that until I was deep in thought one night. I stopped using it and my irritation went away in two days but the congestion and itchinessstayed.

For my history I went on accutane at 20 years old for 6 months at 10mg and it cured everything. I was basically completely clear for 3 years. Now while this isn’t all cystic acne like before, it’s in all the exact same spots. I’m at a total loss

I’ve been to the dermatologist and honestly, she brought a student in and I felt like an experiment. She talked about me instead of really to me with a “this is a rare case. Let’s throw products and see what works!” So I didn’t feel helped at all.

I’m currently on 50mg of spirnolactone, .025% of tretinoin, and .1% clindamyacin lotion. She had given me 0 instructions as I’m an “experience acne patient” (cried in the car after my appointment) and I’ve just been free balling on it for a week. Lotion in the morning, tret at night.

Does anyone know what I could possibly do about this congestion? I hate myself so much I don’t even go out anymore. I worked so hard to get fit for summer and it feels like i can’t even go out in the world without crippling in insecurity. This went from 0-100 in the timespan of 2 weeks.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a new sunscreen. The elf invisible sunscreen has been irritating/congesting my skin lately.

I heard good things about the La roche posay, but also want more options. What are some good safe options for sensitive/@cne prone skin tha won’t leave a white cast?

Also, some double cleansing options as well. The Anua oil cleanser broke me out super bad and irritated my skin.

Thank you!
