[QC] VSF Omega Aqua Terra 150M 41mm Green Dial (8900) from Necoclock – Looking for a second opinion

Hello everyone,

I'd really appreciate a second opinion on this QC. Overall I'm leaning towards a GL, but there are a couple of small details I'd like some experienced eyes on before making my final decision.

  1. Dealer name: Necoclock

  2. Factory name: VSF

  3. Model name (& version number): Omega Aqua Terra 150M 41mm Green Dial (8900)

  4. Price Paid: $348 + $35 shipping = $383 USD

  5. Album Links: https://mega.nz/folder/i8IQiSLC#2_Ln3VtqwNIvD5ayxcnfZQ

  6. Index alignment: Overall the indices look well aligned to me. Visually everything looks straight.

  7. Dial Printing: The dial printing looks clean and sharp. No obvious defects that I can see.

  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Overall it looks good, although the date appears ever so slightly left-biased in a few photos. It could simply be the camera angle, so I'd appreciate another opinion.

  9. Hand Alignment: Looks good to me. No issues visible in the video.

  10. Bezel: Looks clean with no visible scratches or finishing issues.

  11. Solid End Links (SELs): N/A

  12. Timegrapher numbers:
    - Rate: 0 s/d
    - Amplitude: 244°
    - Beat Error: 0.0 ms

  13. Anything else you notice: Overall I'm leaning GL, but I'd really appreciate another opinion. The only thing I'm still unsure about is the applied Omega logo. On some photos it looks perfectly fine, while on others it appears slightly different. It might simply be the lighting, reflections or camera angle, but I'd appreciate your thoughts on the logo, the date alignment, and anything else I may have missed.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to help. I really appreciate your input!

[QC] VSF Aqua Terra 41mm Blue - Looking for opinions on dial alignment

Hello everyone, this is my first Aqua Terra QC, so I’d really appreciate some experienced eyes on this. I understand it’s a replica and I’m not expecting perfection, but I’d like to know if there’s anything that would justify an RL.

1. Dealer name: Andiot

2. Factory name: VSF

3. Model name (& version number): Omega Aqua Terra 41mm Blue Dial

4. Price Paid: $300 + $41 transport = $341

5. Album Links: https://andiotwatches.x.yupoo.com/albums/244586675?uid=1

6. Index alignment: Overall looks good, but I have two minor concerns. The dial appears to be rotated ever so slightly clockwise, making the 12 and 6 o’clock markers look just a touch off the centerline. I also wonder if the applied Omega logo is very slightly tilted or offset, although this may simply be caused by the lighting and camera angle. I’d appreciate another opinion on this.

7. Dial Printing: The dial printing itself looks clean and sharp. I don’t see any obvious printing defects.

8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: The date appears well centered in the window and the printing looks good.
9. Hand Alignment: No issues noticed. The hands appear properly aligned.

10. Bezel: The polished bezel looks clean with no visible dents, scratches or machining issues. I don’t notice any uneven finishing.

11. Solid End Links (SELs): The SELs look tight on both sides. I don’t see any significant gaps between the end links and the case.

12. Timegrapher numbers: Excellent. -1 s/d, 265° amplitude, 0.2 ms beat error.

13. Anything else you notice: Case finishing, bracelet and clasp all look very good. The crystal and blue dial also look great. My only hesitation is the possible slight dial rotation and whether the applied Omega logo is actually aligned correctly or if it’s just an optical illusion from the photos. At the moment I’m leaning GL, but I’d appreciate some confirmation before making the final decision.
I also noticed there isn’t a weight measurement included in the QC album. Would you ask for one before giving a GL?

Thanks in advance for your time and opinions. I really appreciate it!

Why do TD prices vary so much for the exact same watch?

Hi everyone,

I'm still fairly new to the rep watch world and I'm trying to understand how pricing works between Trusted Dealers.

I've noticed that the exact same watch (same factory, same movement, same configuration) can sometimes cost around $300 from one TD, while another TD is asking $370–380 for what appears to be the exact same watch.

What explains such a big price difference?

  • Is the quality control better with the more expensive TDs?
  • Do some TDs have access to better batches?
  • Is it simply higher profit margins?
  • Or are there other factors I'm not aware of?

I'm not trying to find the cheapest seller at all costs, I just want to understand whether paying an extra $70–80 actually gets you something, or if the watch itself is identical regardless of the TD.

I'm currently looking to order a watch with Andiot.

Would love to hear your experiences.

Thanks!

VSF Omega Aqua Terra QC delay - Anyone else hearing about issues with the VSF factory?

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to the rep watch world and placed my first order about 3 weeks ago for an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra from VSF through a well-known TD.

So far, I still haven't received QC pictures and the TD can't give me any indication of when the watch will become available. The only explanation I've received is that there are currently issues at the VSF factory and that there have allegedly been raids/crackdowns affecting production.

Since I'm new to all of this, I'm not sure if this is a genuine situation that others are experiencing as well, or if I should start becoming concerned about the delay.

Have any of you heard similar stories recently regarding VSF? Are QC delays currently normal for VSF Omega models, or would you consider this a red flag?

I'm not trying to call out the TD, just trying to understand whether this is something affecting the broader market or if I should be worried.

Thanks in advance for any insights!

35M - Receding hairline, thinning temples but still a lot of hair. What haircut would suit me best?

Hi everyone,

I'm 35 years old and looking for some honest advice.

Over the last few years my hairline has receded quite a bit, especially around the temples, and the front has become noticeably thinner. The confusing part is that I still seem to have a decent amount of hair overall, so I'm not sure whether I should keep styling it, buzz it, or just shave it off.

I've attached a few photos, including one where I'm pulling my hair back to show the hairline.

One thing that really bothers me is how uneven the density looks. I usually style my hair to the side, but because of the recession and thinning at the temples, one side tends to look very flat and sparse compared to the other side. In certain lighting it becomes quite noticeable and makes styling increasingly difficult.

I'm currently using minoxidil, but I'd mainly like advice on the haircut itself:

  • Keep the current style?
  • Try a different haircut?
  • Buzz cut?
  • Fully shaved?

I'm genuinely not sure where I stand. Some days I feel like I still have enough hair to make it work, and other days I feel like I'm just trying to hide a receding hairline.

I'd appreciate honest opinions. If you think I'd look better with a buzz cut or shaved head, feel free to say it. If you think there's a haircut that would suit my current situation better, I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks!
PS; i can always provide more photo's if needed tho.
