Everything is ruined.Things are not going according to the plan
I was an average student, but I always had one dream—to clear IIT-JEE. I am currently in Class 11, and with that goal in mind, I decided to come to Kota, where I am studying now. I believed that even if I had not achieved anything significant in the past, I could still prove myself by working hard and earning a place in an IIT.
I joined Allen Kota with a lot of hope and determination. However, the beginning was much harder than I had expected. I often felt left behind because many students already seemed to know the concepts. I struggled to understand Physics in class, but I kept telling myself that things would improve with time. I decided to give my best to Physics because I wanted it to become my strongest subject and the one in which I could score well.
Unfortunately, my first test was a huge disappointment. I could not even score 20 out of 60 in Physics. That result shook my confidence because I had put so much effort into the subject. Around the same time, I started facing severe stomach problems, which affected my health and my ability to concentrate on my studies. I am also taking medication for depression and anxiety, which has made this journey even more challenging.
What hurts me the most is the behaviour of some classmates. Instead of encouraging me, they make fun of my marks, laugh at my performance, and tell me that I will never clear JEE. They often say that I should leave Kota, give up on my dream, and go back home. Hearing these things every day has affected my confidence, and I do not have any close friends in Kota to support me.
Even after everything that has happened, I do not want to give up. I know my current performance does not define my future. I still believe that with the right guidance, consistent effort, and better health, I can improve. I came to Kota with a dream, and although the journey has been much more difficult than I imagined, I still want to keep fighting for it.
At this stage, I genuinely need guidance. Please suggest what I should do now. Since I am still in Class 11, I want to recover before it is too late. My Chemistry syllabus is almost completely unfinished. I only know Quantum Numbers and the Periodic Table, and I am confused about how to complete the remaining syllabus without falling further behind. Should I study the chapters in a particular order, or should I first complete the basics and then move to the advanced topics?
I am also not very good at Mathematics. For Maths, I mostly depend on my classroom teacher because I find it difficult to study the subject on my own. In Physics, I have recently started watching ABJ Sir's lectures because I really want to make Physics my strongest subject. However, I am worried that my weak Maths and incomplete Chemistry will affect my overall JEE preparation.
Please guide me on how I should manage all three subjects. How can I complete my Chemistry backlog while continuing with my coaching? How much time should I dedicate to each subject every day? Since I am in Class 11, is it still realistically possible for me to recover from this situation and prepare well for JEE Advanced? I am ready to work as hard as required—I just need the right direction and a practical plan to follow.
I would also appreciate it if you could share the stories of students who had a similar start, struggled in the beginning, but still managed to crack IIT-JEE. Reading about such comebacks would motivate me and remind me that my current situation does not have to decide my future.
I would be truly grateful for any honest advice or strategy that can help me get back on track. My dream is still the same, and I don't want to give up without giving my best.
