It's just a bit hard to tell for me because of the lighting, and because in episode 6, the building there looks like it was a lot longer and had more bridges and stuff than it does in the final episode, if they are the same.
I'm not really interest in playing it, more so I just want to see the environments, character interactions, and just enjoy another story set in LWA. But I haven't been able to find one that goes from the beginning to the end of the game (as in the part with the Yggdrasil broom). So if anyone knows where to watch the complete game, I'd really appreciate the help!
I remember piggot being investigated and that still being ongoing, but what aboout the other side plots? Does Weld still think Aperion used to be a case 53? Does Spiral Power existing now brought any aspects of the anti-spiral yet? What about that sentient race of creatures doing a moon program thing, Joe made a big deal about having first-contact relations with another species, but has that been mentioned since? What about Armsmaster, I remember a word of god that says he's gonna try a hail-marry to restore his reputation, but has that gone anywhere?
Basically, all the side-plots running congruently with the main plot, it's getting hard to keep track of everything, so does anyone know what else is going on right now in the story?
So, one of the big arguments I’ve seen is that dismantle wouldn’t be that effective on Pochita, because Dismantle only damages the soul, and even if it didn’t, separating Pochita from Denji would just turn it into a 2 vs 1 as Yuji would have to fight both Denji and Pochita.
But like, that’s not really accurate.
In the fight against Sukuna, there were multiple instances of Dismantle being used to hurt physical objects (show in Images 1-2 of Yuji slicing up a pillar), and in modulo, using Dismantle was able to cause a huge physical explosion with seemingly no effort from Yuji (Image 3). That’s not even mentioning the various times Sukuna used it to cut the living shit out of people and buildings and everything. So, it can clearly hurt physical objects, which means it can cut Denji’s heart.
Now, the question is, can it? Well, even before Modulo, it was able to hurt Sukuna/Megumi’s body, people who even before the final arc where getting thrown through buildings left and right, and Sukuna was able to block/tank the killing attack from Gojo when he first broke out and tried to kill Geto (Images 4-6), so that’s probably at bare minimum building to city level, which should be around Denji’s/Pochita’s durability (even if you believe he’s as strong as the Oregon sword, he still got hurt from things like Yoru just slamming what was basically a motorcycle into him, as shown in Image 7), so, Dismantle should be able to cut him, and also, cut his heart.
But what about the fact Denji can make a pseudo puppet of himself and fight outside along side it, or have Pochita fight as the hero of hell? Well, for one, the puppet Denji made wasn’t Pochita’s “hero of hell” mode, it was Denji’s normal hybrid form (Image 8), implying it to not be at the same level of strength as Pochita would be, and again, it’s not pochita fighting inside the puppet (since Denji says “A pochita” and not just “Pochita” when describing the puppet, shown in IMage 9) it’s Denji controlling the puppet. But even it that’s wrong and the puppet is as strong as Pochita and/or Pochita can fight alongside Denji, denji himself says it took a lot of blood (again Image 9), and while we don’t know for certain if that means it was something that involved a lot of prep time to set up, even if it didn’t, Denji’s powers/physicals rely on the amount of blood he absorbed, so making that puppet would most likely weaken him (going so it wouldn’t be two full-powered hybrids and/or one hybrid and one Pochita fighting Yuji, it would be one hybrid/Pochita fighting Yuji with a vastly weakened Denji fighting alongside it, if he can even keep up.
And even assuming I’m wrong and Denji can fight fully powered along side a puppet/Pochita…that’s all assuming that dismantle literally doesn’t cut Denji’s heart into ribbons the moment Yuji gets a clean hit. In modulo, Denji was able to cut up mahito’s tongue and fingers in between the 0.2 to 0.5 seconds it would’ve taken Mahito to activate his domain (Images 10-11), and then in the very next second, just cut up everything all without needing a domain expansion(Image 12). Which means Denji should have the speed and power needed to cut up Pochita and destory denji’s heart before he even gets the chance to, theoretically, set up a 2vs1.
So, TL;DR: Denji’s Dismantle should work on Pochita/Denji, and if he gets it off before Denji can react, should be strong enough to one-shot Denji’s heart and thereby preventing him from setting up any puppet shenanigans, and just outright kill him.
So, from my understanding, Denji as Chainsaw/Denji Man arguable outspeeds, but Yuji has better overall physicals, his Domain has a very good chance of just getting that one sure-hit dismantle on Denji and separating him from Pochita, he's better skilled and has more training, and even Denji's regen is arguably a bad thing here, because Yuji can literally make his blood poisonous.
But, Denji, or more specifically, Pochita, can end the fight in an instant by eating himself, thereby resetting the timeline and making a world where Chainsaw Man never existed, which, technically, making the fight a draw. It's not really a "win con" more just "stop the fight from ever coming into existence in the first place" con, but it's arguably something that Denji/Pochita can do if things go to shit.
So, my question: is there any chance Pochita/Denji could pull this off, or would Yuji's cursed technique/domain have a better chance of separating the two before Pochita can even consider eating himself?
